As much as I love that new 750iL, y'all can have that and the S550. This thing right here....

605 hp...

Audi is already working on the next generation A8, but that hasn't stopped the German brand to introduce a new range-topping S8 Plus version for the current model.

The new S8 Plus becomes the most powerful variant of the series to date. In terms of design it differs from the “standard” S8 with a new spoiler lip at the back that is available in body color and in carbon fiber. The single-frame grille and double bars at the front are in gloss black, while the honeycomb structure of the side air inlets and radiator screen are in matte black. The headlights feature Matrix LED technology as standard equipment in Germany and come with dynamic turn signals.

Inside the cabin the sporty feeling is carried over with a black full-leather interior with contrasting red stitching. The center console is finished in piano black, while the pedals and footrest have a stainless steel cover. The standard equipment includes an ambient lighting, a convenience key with sensor-driven luggage compartment locking, full-leather interior package, Alcantara package, power-assisted door closing and a DVD/CD changer.

Probably the most important improvement is hiding beneath the body, where the 4.0 TFSI engine has been retuned and now delivers an impressive 605 PS (445 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque that can jump to 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) in overboost mode. The large sport sedan, whose power was boosted 85 PS (63 kW) compared to the S8, needs 3.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph). The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155.3 mph), but can optionally be increased to 305 km/h (189.5 mph).

Modifications to the 4.0 TFSI range from a special engine control with speed and charge pressure boosting to modified exhaust valves and the inner geometry of the turbocharger that was optimized for efficiency. The unit is mated to an eight-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels through a quattro system. In Germany, the car comes with 21-inch wheels that were specially designed for the S8 Plus and size 275/35 tires.

The new Audi S8 plus will be available at the end of November, wearing a starting price of 145,200 EUR.

The interior is nice in audis. But it's the outside I don't get. Trying to figure out why these aidis get good reviews

"Plus" doesn't even begin to describe the enhancements Audi and Quattro GmbH have wrought on the ultimate new version of the A8 sedan. Power is increased from 520 horsepower to 605, besting anything else in its class. Only the Mercedes S65, which packs four more cylinders and two additional liters of displacement, offers more horsepower. Torque is quoted at 516 lb-ft – a gain of 35 – and can deliver up to as much as 553 lb-ft in overboost. That bests any eight-cylinder performance sedan save the S63. The force-fed V8s in the Jaguar XJR, Maserati Quattroporte, and outgoing Alpina B7 don't stand a chance.

All that muscle translates to a 0-62 time quoted at 3.8 seconds.

:eek::eek:

Positive:

Decent design... The A8/S8 has always been been too plain for me compared to other luxury cars. This is still plain, but better than it has been.

If not the best 4 wheel drive system in the game. Seen Audis make it out of snow conditions that other cars could not. And ive personally driven one in Chicago snow several times and have never felt safer.

Love driving Audis. All of them. On the same level as M series BMW but for completely different reasons.

Negative:

Electrical problems with their cars have been around so long that I dont think itll ever get better.

Every time Ive driven an A8/S8, the S-series Merc was always just that much nicer, that if I was choosing between the 2, I would have to consider a slightly used Merc close to the new Audi price.

review of S8... highlights...9:00 min mark(GPS)..12:45 (Headlights).....15:00...(self driving)

I'd hit it...

not blown away by it.....but i like it.
This is how I feel about Audis in general. I like them but I just can't seem to pull the trigger on them. Now, I think the shape of the last generation A8 is more beautiful than the current model.

Agreed. I only fuck with the 7 when it comes to Audis.

call it nit picking but i don't like the ass end on her

love the design and look of the front but the booty leaves a lot to desire

I was never a big Audi fan myself but their current offerings are just so well executed in my opinion.

If you're a true car person, you need to really go and test drive some of their models. They are phenomenal cars.

They have really created a very unique lane in the automotive industry and I love what they're doing.

For me, between them and BMW are my two favorite brands.

Translation... Audi is a car that I can't afford. If I were a real doctor instead of some middle aged bumbling dj maybe I could afford a German car, but since I'm a loser I will talk badly about everything I can't afford.:rolleyes:

wtf? Motherfucker we didn't forget the lambo
