Just go clarify, I’m not talking about this movie. Someone brought up the black captain marvel. I just suggested that if they do decide to switch in the future, they might stay with the storyline of Rouge absorbing Carol Danvers. That’s all. I disagree that it’s random because it’s canon. Thta’s like saying they threw a random spider in Spiderman to give him his powers.
I'm obviously going to see it.
I've been a fan of Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers since the early70s.
But Brie Larson still doesn't convince me.
And I was holding out for Jessica Chastain or Bryce Dallas Howard.
Maybe if Larson wore THIS outfit, I might be a bit more excited...

Just thinking out loud, since Stark was instrumental in the Battle of New York in the first Avengers film, perhaps Thanos knew he was the one who flew the nuke into that wormhole, wiping out the Chitauri army.

Anticipation is high for Marvel’s forthcoming 1990s-set superhero film Captain Marvel, and fans have likely already committed hours to dissecting the trailer that dropped this morning. But even the most eagle-eyed Marvel fanatics may have been too dazzled by Brie Larson’s granny-punching antics to notice an easter egg on the film’s official poster that hints at the real star of this MCU installment: A furry little cat.
This isn’t just any cat. In fact, it’s not really a cat at all. It’s part of a cat-like alien race called the Flerken, and its name is Chewie. In the comics, Chewie belongs to Carol Danvers (a.k.a. Captain Marvel), and has the ability to create pocket dimensions inside his tentacle-filled mouth. Like we said—not just any cat.
As /Film reported this morning, it seems like Chewie has become a bit of a mascot for the film’s production. Samuel L. Jackson posted a picture to Instagram a couple months ago of the cast and crew hoodie he received for the film, which features a coat of arms prominently featuring a house cat along with the named “Fury” and “Danvers.”
