For those in Texas, can 30k get you a studio and a little decent life until you finish education/ schooling?

I need to leave Florida, I just can't take this place much more.

Housing is too expensive... I just got this new job paying 14 a hour and I still can't afford to live on my own with my other bills, I have to pay everything just to get a little place.

Not to mention I'm single and in my mid 30's, I'm very stressed out.

I just wanted a little spot of my own while I tackled school for a BA but it seems that won't happen.

It ain't tha best of tha best though.

I know where you can get a cheap lil studio apt for 500. Now you need to kinda explain to me what you mean by "decent lil life". Because....i mean we have different views i guess. You can get the hook up on cable, you'd have to pay your internet though. If you have a car you got it set up pretty nice. Dallas is a big city to get around in. You should first make sure you have a job before you move out here. And then figure out where it is in relation to where you could be living. The spot i'm talking about is in Lancaster, it's south of Dallas but 20 min from downtown.

I ain't there yet but I was thinking of just quitting my job and bouncing up and staying with a friend. I will probably do some slave work until I get a decent job but the COL is much better.

My boy lives around plano, close to little elm.

they got 1 bedrooms in valley ranch right now for 645 a mon.
nobody thats single is gonna wanna move to lancaster.
 
That's what's great about Texas. The cost of living is low, so 30k is cool. You can live okay on 30 here in Houston.

You can make it, and still have alil left over to go to "d.g's" if you spent it"right"!

Homie I grew up in tha DMV.I'm well versed with tha illegals.Mexican,El Salvadorian,Guatemalans,all tha motherfuckaz that had to swim here i;m very well acquainted with their lack of driving skills and insurance. :lol::lol::lol:

I used to live in south florida

The Cost of living is insane for the lower wages they pay.

Apartments be like 1200 and up for 2/2 in decent area..Yet u cant find a job paying over 15 bucks.

No wonder they have so many foreclosues down there.

My boy moved to Houston from sofla he said houston is cheaper money goes further!!

im actually in south Garland.....right on the Mesquite golf course. but i grew up on the southside before I moved to Atlanta and all my fam lives in south Dallas, DeSoto, and Oak Cliff....so im there more than anywhere else if im not at work.

:lol: Man I think they both think that way. We had both types at Oklahoma University and them dudes would always get into it about Houston vs Dallas.

One thing them folks would agree on was no one from Oklahoma was fucking with them. I don't give a fuck cool ass dude is a cool ass dude shit he could be from Montana lol. Majority of dudes I met from Texas are cool as shit though they just representing.

I remember when I was in college it would always be some Dallas cats throwing up some D town stuff. Talking to friends at other colleges Dallas folks did the same there. Always wanting to fight.
