She also said it’s something she’s never done before. It takes time to practice.…. So you combine that with the way she shoots and she would have been out there shooting bricks. It’s very smart for her personally to decline.

Thanks for the info and that set makes sense. One does have to practice for the 3-point contest because it's different than shooting 3's in games.

I’m not stretching. I’ve said this before, she’s a rhythm shooter. You see dude hitting her with passes while she’s in motion, able to get her feet under her and shoot. It’s a beautiful shot... The 3-point contest, as we know, is more stationary. Thus, it takes a complete different rhythm than she is probably used to.
NOW, this offseason she’ll have the opportunity to work on it. If she finds that rhythm she could possibly break Sabrina’s record.
Every single athlete who's confident about being good at something. She's supposed to be an elite three point shooter in the league. She's scared to lose.
She's a shooter and shooters shoot. She might not be a 3-point contest shooter or she might be.
I think she'd do good in it and you don't, only time will tell.
And don't discredit Sabrina taking about Caitlin possibly breaking her record. Sabrina's a great 3-point shooter and should've beaten Steph.
