Interesting but is the intent any different from missile defense systems, intended to deny access to incoming airplanes and missiles; naval blockades intended to deny access to designated waters; and troop formations and emplacements intended to deny enemy access to certain territory ??? The policy may be the extension of that denial of access to the final frontier, but would it be not disturbing if there was a policy announcement that our enemies shall have free and unfettered access to space to deploy whatever devices they so choose ???

The thieving ass Chinese have probably already stolen most of our personal credit and other information that pass through satellites anyway, but, is that OK with you ???

This reminds me of the British hacker who discovered that the "US Space Navy" is real and actually exists. The PNAC guys (I believe) also called for US domination of space in the past as well. This may sound strange to folks but in some circles, there's the belief exterrestial life exists and contact has been made. Stuff gets strange in these circles and I follow it quite a bit but it's so strange, I think I'll leave it alone for now.

Putting weapons in space is a huge mistake. Well if we can even get them up there. There are individuals who want space to remain peaceful.

A great read. Matta fact everyone should read it. It will open your eyes.

I don't disagree that its a bad idea; but bad ideas haven't proven yet to be deterrents to bad ideas. Space has already been militarized, isn't it just a matter of who can do it bigger or better? The arms race probably started with who had the bigger rock.

How has it been militarized?

UK's Nasa hacker breaks his silence

The British man thought to have hacked into 53 US government agencies' computer systems has spoken out about his discoveries in Nasa's networks.

The 39-year-old from north London told The Guardian he initially started his hacking career when looking for evidence of a UFO cover-up. Using a software program, Gary McKinnon was able to discover senior network administrators who didn't use passwords.

"You get on to easy networks, like Support and Logistics, in order to exploit the trust relationship that military departments have between each other, and once you get on to an easy thing, you find out what networks they trust and then you hop and hop and hop, and eventually you think, 'That looks a bit more secretive'," McKinnon told The Guardian.

McKinnon said he was eventually able to access the US' Space Command network, where he found evidence of an extra terrestrial mission.

"I found a list of officers' names," he claims, "under the heading 'Non-Terrestrial Officers'... What I think it means is not earth-based. I found a list of 'fleet-to-fleet transfers' and a list of ship names. I looked them up. They weren't US Navy ships. What I saw made me believe they have some kind of spaceship, off-planet."

McKinnon, however, said he can't remember much about the project as he had been "smoking a lot of dope at the time".

The hacker has also denied that he had made Washington's computer system inoperable, although he did admit he may have deleted some government files by accidentally pressing the wrong key.

While McKinnon is facing the possibility of up to 70 years in jail, it seems Nasa has more to worry about than the British man known as 'Solo' in the hacking community.

McKinnon continued: "Once you're on the network, you can do a command called NetStat - Network Status - and it lists all the connections to that machine. There were hackers from Denmark, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Thailand... every night for the entire five to seven years I was doing this."

Here is the link to the interview and he says he believes UFOs are real:

We have footage from space, of ETV(aka UFOs), watching space shuttle launches. Hell, there's even footage of use trying to shoot one down with some type of electromagnetic ray.

There real

I've heard that trying to shoot down unidentified craft is an attempt to take the wreckage and try to "back engineer" the foreign technology, understand what it is and then gain the ability to employ that knowledge/technology yourself. The whole bizarre picture is if these things are real, it means the US is so hungry for technology/power, that they'd be willing to open fire on extraterrestial craft just to steal techology. So if exterrestial life exists, then by opening fire on them, you're risking warfare simply for the sake of learning how to make certain ships and weapons. Talk about horrible priorities.
