ALEXIS AGUDIO: MODEL – “I USED TO SLEEP IN T-SHIRTS ALL THE TIME BUT NOW I JUST LIKE TO BE FREE AT NIGHT”
In the modeling world, there tends to be a distinct division in terms of model body types. You either have high fashion models who tend to be 5’9” or taller and not particularly known for their curves or urban models who are certainly known for their curves but a lot of times tend to be short (5’5” or under) which tends to accentuate their curves even more on camera.
Well, when God was putting together Alexis Agudio, He said, ‘In this one, We shall meld height and thickness together…’ and the resulting specimen is nothing less than breathtaking. If I was to put together a picture of the mythical Amazonian woman, Alexis Agudio would be the mold. Standing at a statuesque 5’10”, she has the height to do high fashion and runway (and some of her role models include modeling titans Tyra Banks and Cindy Crawford). But most of Alexis’ fame has come from her heart stopping, jaw dropping curves that I would put up against any urban model or celebrity in the game…any. As a certified Thickologist, she’s a thicky-thick girl with just the right amount of thickness in all the right places (that’s a lot of ‘thick’s in one sentence but hopefully I got my point across…).
Its no wonder she’s causes a commotion with guys when she goes to the gym and does squats but when you have other females commenting on your booty saying things like, ‘That thing is amazing…’ you know you’re a cut above the rest. I think the video below would be appropriate to describe the black / Sicilian mega beauty.
But don’t get it twisted and think that A squared is all booty and no brain. The Long Island native is a college graduate and definitely is about her business. A self described homebody, you won’t really find her out much unless she’s working or hosting events but don’t mistake that for her not knowing how to have a good time because apparently that’s not an issue for the Agudio clan.
So sit back as I talk with Alexis about a lot of things including an awkward run in she had with a fan, what adult star she gets mistaken for, her take on fake booties, and the funniest blooper to happen in the bedroom.
Where are you originally from?
I’m originally from Long Island. Born and raised in Huntington.
What’s your ethnic background?
Sicilian and Black. Both my parents are mixed.
Have you ever been to LA?
Yeah I have. I did a shoot for SHOW magazine out in LA and he hosting party was out there at the Supperclub. That was my first time there and I loved it! I wish I could’ve stayed a little longer for my first time. I was only there for two days and I will never do that again (laughs). But I loved it. I loved the nightlife, the environment…everything was just beautiful.
Since you were up in Hollywood, what did you think of it? A lot of times people are a little disappointed because its not what they thought it would be…
Yeah, I was lookin like, ‘Where are all the famous people?’ (laughs)It was just people exercising and shopping but it wasn’t like, ‘Oh my Gosh there’s the paparazzi’ or just seeing stars walking down the Strip.
I try and tell people who aren’t from here that a lot of the celebs live in Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, Calabasas, Malibu and those type of areas. None of them in the part of Hollywood where you were. Being a New Yorker, how does LA differ from New York in terms of culture and nightlife?
New York is more live. It’s the “City that Never Sleeps” so people are up at clubs or bars at all times. The bars…and even the strip clubs… close really late. I actually live in Maryland now and everything here shuts down so early so you have to be at the club by 10 (pm) cuz it closes at 2 (am) whereas in New York, clubs close at 3, 4 or even 5 in the morning.
Your ‘re used to starting to get ready at 11 and now you got be at the club by 11…
Right!!! Its crazy! So that’s one of the things I miss about New York.
So I’ve seen your pictures in SHOW and other magazines, but take me back to Alexis before all the magazine covers and high profile shoots. Take me back to Alexis in high school. Now when you were in high school, what clique did you run with? Probably the pretty girl /cool girl group, huh?
I did a lot of activities in high school. I was on the dance team, I was a cheerleader, so I was in that clique…the popular, sports group. So yeah, I’ll say I was with the popular crowd (laughs)
And I appreciate your honesty…
It was funny because I started cheerleading in middle school, but I got teased a lot by girls and guys
Really?!
Yeah, because I was tall and hadn’t really grown into my body yet. And I wasn’t really paying attention to how my body was developing. Plus back then, I didn’t really wear dresses or dress like a girl. I was wearing the FILA sweatshirts, baggy cjeans and things like that cuz that’s what they wore then. It wasn’t just me, all the girls were dressing like that. But when I got to high school, my mom was like, ‘
you need to start dressing like a girl.’ and that’s when guys started noticing and the whistles came and even my Nana would be like, ‘
Oh okay, she’s gettin’ a butt now!’ (laughs)
So you didn’t always have the body type you have now?
Oh no! I mean, looking back at pictures, my body changed over night. But then freshmen year, I was that “fresh” freshman.
Ahhhh!
Yeeeeah! I started to develop and grow into my body and now all the guys that had been making fun of me wanted to try and start talking me. (laughs) My brother Antoine was very popular and he played basketball so I got a chance to cheer for him and Agudio is not a common name but we created quite a name for ourselves.
And once you started getting more attention was he the super protective type?
Oh yeah! (laughs) And the funny thing is I’m the older sibling! But we’re only a year apart but he was the one like, ‘Yo man, why you gotta talk about my sistah…’ (laughs) It’s funny now because he’s like, ‘
Dude can’t go anywhere with you! Dudes just have no respect!’
So now that you’ve gained some fame through modeling, when you go back to Long Island, are you seen as Alexis the Model or are you still Alexis from the Block?
I think I’m viewed as Alexis the Model more than Alexis from the Block. I think the modeling plays a bigger part but when I do go home, all I wanna do is be with my family. My parents are my number 1 supporters. I’ll go chill with my dad at the bar, I’ll go to the mall with my mom. I don’t have any kids but my brother and sister have kids so I enjoy being an auntie and I’ll see some of my best friends when I go out there. So its really just about me being with my family.
Now you just mentioned your parents are your biggest supporters. So what was it like the first time you did a sexy shoot, what was there reaction?
Before I actually started modeling, I had told my parents that modeling was something I wanted to pursue on the side because I went to college, I got my degree and I started working but I still had free time and modeling has always been a passion of mine. So I just said, le me do it and see where I can go with it. So I told my parents and they were more like, ‘
We just wanted you to go to school and get your degree and whatever you want to do after that, we’ll support it.’ My parents are awesome. They actually come with me to my hostings! I did a hosting at Myx Lounge back in February and Mario performed and my parents came with me. They were in VIP, some of my friends came with me, they were drinkin’ and havin a good time. My parents had me at a young age so they’re at a stage where their kids are grown and they want to live too so they’re down for whatever (laughs). So its awesome to have that family support.
So you’re mom is pushing you off the dance floor to be like, ‘Alexis lemme show you how its done…’
(laughs) Oh she’ll be calling me up like, ‘
When’s the next hosting? Me and dad want to come…’ and I’m like ‘
Oh my Gosh!’ (laughs) But I love my family so whenever I can bring them, I always bring them.
Now you done a bunch of shoots but take me back to your first sexy shoot. What was it for and were you nervous? Were you excited? How did that go?
When I started taking pictures for my portfolio, I shot with a photographer named James Phelps about two years ago and I was excited and nervous. I was excited because this was something I also wanted to do and nervous because I was wanted to make sure the hair looked good and my posing was good because since I’m tall, there’s certain angles that look good…and not so good… and certain features I needed to bring out. It was nerve wracking but I got through it. I then realized that you do have to practice. So I would stand in the mirror and practice. I would work on facial expressions because you just can’t have one facial expression. I would look at other tall models like Tyra Banks and Cindy Crawford and how they posed in certain pictures. I really did my research because I wanted to make sure I was doing the right way.
And how tall are you?
I’m 5’11”
Daaaaang! You are tall.
Yeah, everyone in my family is tall except my mom. Both my dad and brother are 6’4”, my mom 5’6” and my sister is 5’7”.
What’s the worst photoshoot you’ve been on?
I’ve definitely shot with a creepy photographer. When you’re new and trying to build up your portfolio, and a photographer reaches out and is like, ‘
Hey I wanna shoot you. It’s free. I’m just trying to build up my portfolio.’ You’re like, ‘
Okay, let me give it a chance.’ But then you get the pictures and its like, ‘
Oooooooh. Mah. God!’ (laughs) you really have to be mindful who you’re shooting with as you’re trying to develop yourself into a brand. It was crazy cuz as we were doing the shoot and he was just panting…
What?!! (laughs)
Yes! And I was like, ‘
Oh my God, am I gonna die tonight?’ (laughs)
(laughs)
It was just so weird! I was like, ‘
Sweet baby black Jesus, help me right now!’ (laughs) And that was one of my first shoots, so after that, I was like, ‘
Oh no!’ You definitely learn as you go. So to all the model out there…free is not always the way to go.
So I’m assuming you kind of have a go to photographer now that you like shooting with.
I do. Cesar Ward. He owns like 5 magazines. I also shoot with Frank Antonio. He actually does the shoot for Straight Stuntin magazine…which I have a feature in. And Facet, who actually from LA and I did a shoot with him in April. So those are the best ones that I’ve shot with so far and there are some other ones in Miami that I would like to shoot with.
What’s the funniest blooper to happen to you on a set?
Definitely had a wardrobe malfunction before. I was doing a lingerie shoot and my boob popped out and they were just like, ‘Hey your boob popped out, put it back in…’ but it comes with the territory. And if you’re working with a professional photographer, you’re not gonna have any issues. Some of them shoot nude models so its not a big deal to them. You just gotta worry about the creepy ones.
I mean, its not your fault the clothes can’t contain you right?!!
(laughs) I know right?!! (laughs)
So you take phenomenal pictures and are obviously known for your curvy body. But are you a gym fiend or those are just amazing genes from the family?
I got to the gym like 4 times a week because I …love… food! I try so hard to eat healthy, and I don’t eat bad everyday, but I need my wings…
That’s what im talkin about! That’s a real woman right there!
No you don’t understand. I have a weakness for Buffalo wings with extra blu cheese on the side (laughs) I have to have it! (laughs)
So on your next trip to LA, if I’m at LAX with a basket of wings and blu cheese like, ‘Where did these come from?’
(laughs) Oh man! But if I didn’t go to the gym, I’d be in trouble. I wouldn’t be modeling right now that’s for sure! (laughs) But I do healthy like my fish, my vegetables, my brown rice so when I do have my cheat meal, I’m not feeling guilty.
What is your guilty food pleasure?
My moms lasagna and her potato salad. Oh. My. God. So good! Its funny because they actually want to market her potato salad but she doesn’t want to give the recipe away. My mom is an amazing cook and that’s who I learned to cook from.
Nothing like moms cooking…
That’s why when I come home for the holidays, I have to fast for like a month because its one of those meals that you just can’t have one serving and call it a day. You’re gonna get up two, three, four, five, six times.
Dang, you makin me hungry.
I know! (laughs) But during the week I have to be good so I cook and meal prep for the week. And also when I’m in the gym, I’m in there for like 2 ½ hours…
Wow!
Yeah, cuz I do 40 minutes of cardio and then I’m working on my glutes or hamstrings. But then I also love to hit the sauna room. O.M.G! I love hitting the sauna room! I can sit in the sauna room for like 20-25 minutes. My thing now is I’m trying to get abs. I have a flat stomach but I want that ab definition. But people have been like, ‘
Well, you’re definitely gonna have to cut out those foods that you love…’ and I’m like, ‘
Well, I don’t know about that!’ (laughs)
You’re like, ‘How bad do I really want them?’ (laughs)
Right!! I mean, if I have on ab on the right side and one on the left, I’ll be okay. (laughs) I’m all for eating healthy but you only live once and you cannot deprive yourself.
This is a real woman I talkin to here!
(laughs)
I know when you go to the gym, you probably cause a scene cuz if you wear anything close to normal gym attire (running/yoga pants, tight top, etc) its over. Guys probably asking you if you need a spot at the squat rack, trying to dab the sweat off your forehead while you’re on the treadmill, and other nonsense.
Its so funny because as a female, you have certain…assets that stick out and it happens all the time. When I’m trying to workout, I want ot be in the zone so as soon as I walk into the gym, I’ll put my headphones on tpo avoid anyone comin up trying to talk to me but that doesn’t always work. Dudes will still come by like, ‘
Hey how you doin’?’ and I’m like, ‘
Don’t you see I have headphones on?!!’ The gym is a stress reliever for me so I just want to work out, I don’t wanna deal with some dude lookin at me being like, ‘
God Damn, girl!!’ but I guess it just comes with the territory.
Has a dude ever actually pulled the earphone out of your ear being like, ‘Yo Ma! I gotta talk to you…’
No, but I did have a guy one time trying to get my attention while I was on the treadmill. I mean he literally passed by me a bunch of times and was like, ‘
Wassup!’ and I was thinking ‘
Do you not see me working out?!!’ And I don’t wanna be mean to people but at a point I gotta have some space. But you know what the the hardest exercise to do with a dude watching you is? Squats.
Do you do the machine squat press or where you’re standing up and you squat down?
I do the one where you stand up and squat down…
Yeah I could see how that would draw some attention…truth be told, I’m having problems focusing right now thinking about that and may not hear a word you say for the rest of this interview…did I say that out loud?
(laughs) It’s crazy. Now, if my sister is with me, she doesn’t have a filter so she’ll be like, “
Ok, take a fuckin picture and keep it movin…” (laughs) But me, I’m like, “
Okay they’re staring, what else is new?’ I mean, what are you gonna do?
And what’s usually the gym attire?
I kniw for sure that I don’t wear shorts…
Yeah, that would definitely cuz someone to drop a benchpress bar on their neck…
…but I do wear the spandex pants or capris. But yeah, I’d never wear shorts, that would just be too much of an overload! (laughs)
I’d probably see news headlines about a riot at your gym
(laughs) Right?!! They go berserk when you’re in pants so I couldn’t imagine shorts. But its funny because some girl came up to me while I was doing squats and was like, ‘
Oh my God! Is that thing real?!! I’ve never seen anything like it in my life! God bless you, honey!’(laughs) I just started laughing. But its funny because you usually will see short, curvy girls but you really don’t see a lot of tall curvy girls. You just don’t see tall, thick girls.
Well you definitely got the best of both worlds, height and thickness. Now being in the world we’re in where everyone on IG is twerking or booty shaking, and a lot of these booties aren’t real, can you clear the air if yours is real or not.
So here’s my stance on that…if its fake, say its fake. Don’t lie and say its real. You can pretty much tell the real from the fake. If you’re not happy with something on your body and you wanna get something done to make yourself feel good, then okay. But don’t sit there and get a big ass and then say, ‘
Go to the gym and you can get a body like me…’ that’s false advertisement. Just be real about it. As for me, I’m not one for altering things because if it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it! (laughs). Also, have you seen that show
Botched?
I have…
That’s probably another reason why I would never get any type of surgery. It’s one thing to get something done to compliment your body but these girls go overboard. IT’s like their butts are bigger than their whole body. If you’re gonna get something done, get it proportioned to your body. Or just get your lazy ass to the gym and workout!!! (laughs) I mean, it’ll take time but if you’re that determined, you’re gonna work for it. The easy way out is not always the good way. I think a girl who worked at BET died from getting butt injections.
Oh wow!
Yeah, its serious and to me, its not worth your life. Bottom line is you have to be happy from within.
So to sum it up, Alexis is 100% pure New York USDA homegrown with no additives or perservatives.
(laughs) Yes, I’m 100% natural.
Because you’re a model and attractive, do you find people underestimate your business sense?
You definitely have the people who make a judgement based on the exterior, but you just have to move along and prove them wrong that I do have something upstairs.
So I’ve interviewed a lot of people in different parts of entertainment…including some adult stars. Adult stars are known for having interesting or fun stage names. Now did you ever play the old Porn Name Game?
No I didn’t. But I’ve been told I look like the porn star Ice La Fox.
Alright then. We played it in high school where you would take the first pet you had as your first name and the street you grew up on as your last name. Based on that formula, what would your porn name be?
Diamond West (laughs)
That’s a pretty legit name right there! So if you hear someone yell that out in a crowd, you’ll know its me!
(laughs)
In regards to your fans, is there anything about yourself that they would find surprising or wouldn’t know about you?
Not really. I’m not the type of person that needs to be out on the scene. I’m more of a homebody. I like Netflix and movie night. I’m a really chill laid back person. I love spending time with loved ones. I don’t have a lot of down time on my schedule so when I do, I’d rather spend time at home rather than go clubbin. I really don’t go clubbin unless I have to like I’m hosting or special occasion, but other than that I’m a homebody.
So all I heard is that you’re a Netflix and Chill type girl, I’m down with that…I mean…that’s cool. Now you’re obviously know for burning up magazine covers with your photos and just oozing sexuality. But how much of that is Alexis ad how much of that is for the cameras?
When I’m not shooting, I’m Alexis, which is still sexy but when I’m shooting, I’m Alexis to the 10th power…in my own reality and making love to the camera.
Ever had an awkward run in with a fan?
Oh. My. Gosh. Yes! I was in downtown having lunch with some co-workers from my job and they didn’t know about my modeling. So we’re sitting at this pizza place and this guy comes in like, ‘
Oh my God!! I know you!!’ and I’m like, ‘
Oh shit!’ and my co-worker is like, ‘
Who is she?’ and the guy is like, ‘
Alexis! Alexis the model! I follow you on Instagram!!!’ and I was like, ‘
Oh. My. God!!’ and my co-workers were like, ‘
What the??’
And the guy was like, ‘
You’re fuckin beautiful!!’ (laughs) and when he walked out my co-workers were like, ‘
So, what’s your Instagram name?’ (laughs)
That’s awesome! Now I know when you’re with your girls you’re chill but have you ever been the aggressor? Have there been times when you guys have gone out when you’re like, ‘I’m on the prowl tonight…’
No, I’m never the aggressor. (laughs) Never. I mean, girls feel ourselves here and there and we know when we’re on point with our hair, clothes and everything…but yeah, I’m so not the aggressor, I just let the guys come to me.
What’s the song for you right now that, when it comes on, you will clear out the dance floor and drop it like its hot?
“Trophies “by Drake. I love that song, the words the beat, everything. I love that song. I listen to that while I’m getting ready to go out, that’s my go to song.
Where’s somewhere that you really want to visit that you have not been to?
I definitely want to go to Italy. Being that I’m half Sicilian and have family who were born in Milan, I definitely want to visit Italy. That’s on my bucket list. And when I get married, that will be my honeymoon spot.
After a hard day of hosting, modeling or even from your regular job, and you hit the sack, what type of sleeper are you?
I’m a wild sleeper! (laughs) Its crazy. My mom came to visit and slept in the room with me and I woke up with my head on the pillow, my ass up in the air, literally face down, ass up! (laughs) and my mom was like, ‘
Oh my God!! Look how you’re sleeping!’ and I was like, ‘
Oh my God!’ and she was like, ‘
What kinda dreams do you be havin’?!! (laughs) I am a wild sleeper. I’ll pull the covers off and everything.
So people have to get in the bed with a helmet on with you…
Yeah, I’m definitely wild. (laughs) I’m one of those people like whne I wake up in the morning, I’m like, ‘
How’d I get over here?’ (laughs) This is the lifestyle I’m livin right now! (laughs)
Now when you do get ready to go to your wild sleepin ways, are you a pajama girl, t-shirt and boy shorts girl, etc?
I used to sleep in t-shirts all the time but now I just like to be free at night….so I don’t like to wear anything. I just take a nice bubble bath before bed and just…birthday suit. (laughs)
I’m just gonna let that visual ink in for me for a second…
(laughs) And its not something I’ve been doing for years, I just started sleeping like this maybe at the beginning of this year. I don’t know, lemme try something new. I just wanna be free.
I am not mad…in fact I just came back from that visual…I don’t even know what question I’m supposed to ask next. Well, since we’re talking about bedroom behavior, what would you say is that special spot on Alexis that, when a guy touches or kisses that spot, you absolutely melt?
My inner thigh.
So I’m trying to help out the readers and fans…try to arm you with some ammunition…not that I’m taking any notes…
(laughs)
So you know that son by Omarion, Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko where she has that famous line, ‘I might let your boy chauffeur me / but he’s gotta eat the booty like groceries.’ Now from a Alexis point of view, what is your take on that?
What gets me is because it came out in a song people are like, ‘
Oh yeah that wassup’ and I feel that if you’re in a relationship with someone, that’s what you should be doing anyways.
Ahhhhh! (laughs)
I mean isn’t that a part of it?!! Everyone’s acting like it’s the thing to do but if you’re with the right person, I’m like, ‘
Hello?!! What have you been missing? You should’ve BEEN doing that already!’ (laughs)
Daaaaang! You are keeping it so real
(laughs) That ‘s the only way to be!! (laughs)
Now on the flipside, what’s a no-no for you in the bedroom? Hairpulling, butt slapping…
No, I like the butt slapping! (laughs) I’m trying to think…oh, I’m not down with people trying to choke you during sex. Like why are you trying to choke when I’m trying to be in my glory! (laughs) That’s definitely a no-no. Like why would you do that and mess up the flow! (laughs)
What body part do you complimented on the most? I kinda have an idea, but I wanna hear from you.
Well, of course my butt. But you what else I get complimented on…my nose.
Really?!!
Yes! Its happened several times before but one lady came up to me and was like, ‘
You have the perfect nose.
Please let me take a picture and take this to my surgeon because this is something I’m looking for.’ I was like, ‘
Wow.
O.M.G.’
Now what body part are you most proud of on you?
My lips. Cuz they’re nice and soft.
If you could have any superpower but that power had to be used in the bedroom, what would that superpower be?
To have sex in the air. (laughs) I think that would be pretty dope.
One thing a lot of girls have to deal with is when a guy thinks he’s putting in work in the bedroom when he’s really not. So have you ever had to fake an orgasm?
(pause) Yes.
Ooooooh!
And the reason why was…to hurry up and get it over with. (laughs) I’m not trying to be mean and you don’t wanna hurt their feelings when they really think they’re doing something…
(laughs)
You know what, you’re terrible! (laughs) but you know when they be like, ‘
Yeah, you know this is some good…’ you how is (laughs). So I figure I can make him feel good so he can stop. (laughs)
So did you do a good fake with moans or were you just totally thinking about something else and just saying the words like, ‘Yeah its all yours, daddy’?
I’ll do a fake orgasm but I will not say words I don’t mean. (laughs) If you do hear a ‘
yeah, yeah…go head daddy.’ Um…no!
So that’s universal for ‘you should just finish or stop’
(laughs) exactly! (laughs)
So in movies or when you hear about girls screaming their heads off…
They’re lying!
Wow. There you have it folks. Now, on the flipside, how would a guy know when he is putting in that work right? Do you have a tell tale sign that it’s the goodness?
I talk, put my head back and bite my lip when its extra good. And when I talk, its not loud but that soft talk. Yeah…
You’re voice just got soft there…I mean, are you getting there now just by talking to me?
(laughs) you crazy! (laughs)
I’m just sayin…What’s the funniest blooper to happen to you in the bedroom?
(laughs) So I was dealing with this person one time and…oh my gosh (laughs) so you know when a girl gets extra wet…down there…there’s certain noises that are made. (laughs) Essentially it sounded like I was farting when I really wasn’t. So he’d hear the noise and he’d stop and be lookin at me like, ‘
Baby, you need to use the bathroom…’ (laughs) and I had to tell’em, ‘
It’s not what you think.’ (laughs)
