Yep. I remember the blackout in 2003. I had to race to get my kid because I was fairly close. Then I hung out in the parking lot until the last two kids got picked up, cause I didn’t want to leave the women alone. Only had 1/4 tank of gas, and could not get more. My wife knew I would get the kid, so she got ice and some food. We always prop each other on that unspoken team work.

Best get some deer lure. There's a whole lot of those motherfukers where I live

I should get a crossbow
I advise blacks to learn how to fish and hunt. Can't lie, being a city boy I suck at both but they are both on my bucket list for this summer. Maybe we can start a thread on this and start black support groups in different states.

Better to have and not need than need and not have

The question will be whether we are facing the entirety of everything going down: electricity, gas

Learning how to make a fire pit

Learning which canned foods have the longest shelf life

Having SEVERAL old school can openers

This needs to be a whole ass thread

This is true, evidenced by Snowmeggedon 2014 in Atlanta.

Real shit, since I got the Ranch I been learning how to fish, and looking for a proper hunting rifle.

Can you use an AR/AK to hunt?

I have a bike and the closest bomb shelter is a 8 minute walk so let's say 5 minute bike ride. Just have to take a packed bookbag with water, canned food, other essentials.

I mention bike because roads would be impassable.

A small fm/am radio, solar or battery powered would be good.
Beef jerky
Sanitation alcohol
Hunting knife
Flashlight
Hammer
Swiss army knife
Watch
Compass
Extra socks
Bar soap
Cloth for tourniquets etc.
Thin blanket
Skullcap
Etc.

I’m killing all dogs and cats, birds, squirrels.. firing up the grill.. last time I remember humans are omnivores and there’s a lot of animals that can be eaten if cooked right.. that’s the great thing about being an animal with carnivore taste buds there’s always smaller prey around that can be devoured

Squirrels and dogs carry rabies but I guess you have to take your chances.

Also good to have a basic understanding of what berries you can consume. You get hungry enough and you will eat anything.

Before it gets to that there will be plenty of stores to raid. Safe transportation is the issue. Recall in Katrina we saw pickup trucks with armed survivors in the back going around searching for food and anything useful. Of course they were labeled looters.
