Brooklyn Queens Interborough Express Rail Project

What about the bronx

If I worked in Manhattan, besides Manhattan, what’s the best out the 3 to stay in for a cleaner commute back and forth?

Queens , Brooklyn , Bronx?

they all can’t be equal.

I’m looking to move out this shithole by May.

I’m weighing my options between New York and Vegas
go to Vegas...

Bronx has an express train (the 6 i believe) that goes from Bx to Manhattan. I haven't been to NY in 3 years, but when i lived in the Bx, my commute to manhattan was much shorter than when i lived in BK, because of the 6 train. There are express trains in Brooklyn (Q?) but from where i traveled from it was still a long ride. Certain stations are just too major to skip over for an express train, so taking it was probably only a 5 to 10 minute difference from the regular train line (D or B). There'd be a bottleneck going over the bridge which would eventually cause all trains traveling that line to catch up to each other.
Yea ima do the Bronx

thanks

Yes, I looked at the map. You can already go from Bed to Flat easily. I used to do it regularly. In more than one way. But you know what's missing from that map? The G. And I'm not so sure the people in Maspeth and whatnot want grade-level trains because as we know there are a lot of boneyards in that section of Queens.
Take a look at some of the old subway maps and proposals and you'll see there were els in place already. Plus the L was originally supposed to swoop west once it hit Canarsie and go along the bottom of BK to the ferry at Boerum Pl, connecting all those lines.

But at the end of the day it will be about graft and corruption, nothing more nothing less.

True on the corruption. I thought it was laughible that adding track barriers in 25% of the stations would cost 7 billion.

You clearly know your shit about the trains. But c’mon brother. Let’s not lie to the other brothers on the board. Yea the G is a Brooklyn train, but it’s wild unreliable, and would circle you around the Park Slope area before you get to Church St. And then have a 20 mins walk minimum before you can grab you a plate in Flatbush, add probably another 20 min walk to the G if you started smack in the middle of Bed-Stuy. If it’s brick or scorching out, those minutes can feel like hours.

Church Avenue.

But I wasn't saying I would TAKE the G, just that it's not on that map. Depending on where I was in Bed I'd probably take the A to the shuttle then the 2 or Brighton line.
But that's my point, the G used to run more frequently and longer, all the way to Bay Parkway, as a local on IT'S OWN TRACKS. They tore up a lot of the tracks so now it can't fit with the F. The shuttle was also longer connecting more lines, but they tore those tracks up too.

No fucking body wants to go from Jackson Heights to Bensonhurst. No. Body. This is just another scheme to siphon off funds into the pockets of the muckety-mucks.

Don't sell your grandma house if she live in Canarsie, ENY, Brownsville. I think this project would go over better if Amazon got the bid for their Queens HQ.

Most of the Brooklyn areas are gentrifying already along this rail line but if you have a house within a 10 min walk you gonna want to sell high in about 4 years.

6 is a local train.. the 4 and 5 are the express train

Oh ok. I remember the 6 having an express when I lived in ParkChester.
Ok you talking about how every now and than they make certain 6 train go express on certain hrs in the bx.. that’s every now and again but definitely not all the time

Biden lied?

No.

The Federal Government comes out with the money and disperses it to the states on who gets how much.

The State Legislature and the Governor decide where the funds go.

So if you live in a GOP controlled state, good chance the Black community ain’t gonna see jack shit. Democratic control states will send down whatever is left to the Black community after they hook up the White communities.

The crazy thing they never finished the 2nd ave line.. it was suppose to be like 3-4 more stops added all the way to 125st.. so all the people on the bx 15 bus the people on the m15 bus and people on the q60 bus to connect.. so it would’ve made getting to midtown/time square easier and queens if you were in that area.. than trump was talking about that fund the wall shit and mta just stop working on that line.. so it ended at 96 st instead of 125… that line would’ve made it easier for bx, Manhattan, queens to connect
