Broner is going to get slept by Maidana.

Broner better not get into a brawl. Maidana is hungry. Feels he's being slept on in the sport. Broner can win this, but he has to box like Floyd does and take little risks. If he brawls, he could take a L.

you guys are kidding right??? Broner is Likely to KO Maidana, esp if the fight is at 140, where Broner has KO power.... both guys are new to the welterweight limit to 147 dosent give either of the two boxers any power advantage. Hate him or love em but Broner is going to cook this Maidana cat!

Devin Alexander low KO % ass gave Maidana fits

agree w you that alexander made him look bad. maidana has to force broner into a fight. in a fight, maidana has proven his toughness. i havent seen broner battle tested yet. i want to see what type of heart he has.

I got Devin beating Broner too... Broner didn't even beat Paulie in my eyes. That shit was a draw.

I could be wrong but dude isn't the other level boxer that I think can handle a puncher in a weight class that he isn't even used to yet and then on top of all that to be out here completely out of shape.

If Broner fights like he did against Paulie, it could be disastrous. Dude isn't half as good as people and especially he thinks he is. He lost all cred to me when he bypassed 140 pounds. I don't see it happening but I hope Maidana knocks him the fuck out.

Nice call OP....

Adrien Broner came into tonight with three wins in his career that could have gone the other way. Tonight, he officially lost for the first time, as Marcos Maidana floored him twice, outworked him all night, and clearly won at the Alamodome, sending the roof off the building as 2013 closed with a big-time upset and a major happening for Showtime Sports and all of boxing.

Judges had it 117-109, 116-109, and 115-110 for Maidana. I had it 116-108, and BLH's Ryan Bivins and Kory Kitchen both had it 116-110 for Maidana. Showtime's Al Bernstein had it 115-111, Paulie Malignaggi had it 115-111, and Steve Farhood had it 114-111, all for Maidana.

Broner (27-1, 22 KO) went down in the second round and was badly hurt, but managed to survive the round. He took a lot of big shots that he was able to handle, but Maidana (35-3, 31 KO) definitely made him respect the power early and often. Broner went down again in round eight, and after that, while tying Maidana up, he took what was indeed an intentional headbutt from the Argentinean, but Broner's reaction was the flop of all flops, the worst acting job you'll see in sports. Maidana lost a point for the butt, which was fair, but the next round he outworked Broner so severely that a 10-8 could easily have been scored his way anyway.

By the latter stages of the fight, trainer Mike Stafford made it clear to Broner that he needed a knockout, and it just wasn't there. Broner never got his speed going tonight, because Maidana took that away from him pretty early by wearing him out not only with big shots, but by making Broner expend energy just to keep Maidana off of him. There was nothing about this fight that went well for Broner, and he never had Maidana in any danger, hurting him most with a late hook after the bell in round 11.

Saw this fight in a bar and it was amazing how all the white boys were saying Maidana would give Floyd an equal ass whooping because he and Broner fight "exactly alike". I just sat there like:hmm:
Good for Maidana, he definitely worked on that clubbing overhand right for Broner and it paid off, it got Broner moving to his right and into Maidana's left hook. As for Broner, dude needs to find himself.

He needs to move down to 140. Get his shit together with a couple of fights and try to fight Garcia at the end of next year.

Sounds like a plan, 140 is no cake walk but if he takes shit seriously he could definitely find himself in a ring with Garcia by November/December. He'll have to get through a couple dudes to get there though and they are the same type of fighters as Maidana. Like Mathysse and the Russian dude who's name I can't spell.

True... He has the natural gifts to beat those guys. It's on him to adapt and grow his skill set as a fighter. If he thinks he can eat Twinkies and go on rap tours instead of training, he's done though. I still have no clue what made him sign up for this fight when Malinaggi was giving him trouble.
