Britney Spears' ex husband Kevin Federline is 'handling' 13-year-old son Jayden's social media controversy 'like a responsible parent.'
Kevin has reportedly 'stepped in' after his teenage son posted a shockingly revealing Instagram live, in which he revealed his mother was 'quitting' music while also lashing out at grandfather Jamie over his convervatorship of his pop star mom.
According to Federline's attorney Mark Vincent, the former singer is said to be 'handling [the incident] like a responsible parent,' simply calling the situation a 'family matter' while speaking to Page Six.
Federline's lawyer contended that the video was 'the result of a 13-year-old acting like a 13-year-old' and nothing more.
During the live-stream Jayden didn't seem to be worrying about getting into trouble, telling followers: 'I mean, my dad doesn’t care. I have the best dad ever. My dad’s literally Jesus.'
Britney and Kevin were married from 2004 to 2007. Upon their split, Federline was awarded 70% custody of their sons Jayden, 13, and Preston, 14.
His mom definitely didn't seem upset by the post on Wednesday, taking to social to share a pair of selfies along with a sexy black and white of her 26-year-old hunk Sam Asghari.

She made no mention of her son or the current scandal in the photos, instead choosing to fawn over her Persian toy-boy in a portrait she took herself.
'

All I said was don’t look at the camera ….. he listened and it was magic!!!! He’s the only man I’ve ever photographed in my life !!!! Happy Belated B-day @samasghari ..... love you !!!!!'
She also shared a selfie, which she bragged about not being 'retouched or edited.'
'
These are raw and real!!!' she wrote over the photos of her stunning in a lacy white leotard. The post came after she shared a nearly identical shot that appeared to be filtered.
Jayden was full of revelations during his unsupervised Instagram Live session on Tuesday.
The teen was at his father's home in California when he took to social media for a candid question-and-answer session.
When a 'Free Britney' comment appeared across the platform, Jayden divulged a few of his mother's future interests while taking a moment to slam his grandfather, Jamie Spears, who has had control of Britney's endeavors for more than 10 years through a court-appointed conservatorship.
Asked if his mother was 'being controlled' in her conservatorship, and Jayden admitted: 'No. I don't know.'
Britney's father, Jamie, has been her conservator since 2008 and stepped down from his role in September due to his health, with temporary conservatorship handed over to her care manager Jodi Montgomery. He reportedly resumed his duties in January 2020.
Jayden had a few choice words to say about his grandpa, who is not allowed to see the kids for three years after Kevin received a restraining order in August following an altercation between Jamie and Sean.
'He's a pretty big dick ... He can go die,' Jayden said.
He seemed wary of sharing more details about his pop star mom, telling followers he'd reveal more details after earning 5000 Instagram followers.
'What's going on with my mom? I'll tell you guys the whole story about my mom and stuff if I get 5,000 followers on my Instagram,' he said in the nearly 15-minute clip posted online.
'That stuff will come out way in the future [when] I get really popular.'
He added that he's currently living with his father but he would see Britney soon: 'I'm gonna visit her in like a couple weeks cause I'm with my dad right now. I'm doing pretty good.'
Still, he had some interesting tidbits.
When a follower asked if Spears would be returning to the stage any time soon, Jayden recalled a conversation he had with his mom.
'Actually I haven't seen her doing a lot of music at all. I don't think that … I don't know, dude. I don't even know,' he said. 'I remember one time I asked her, I said, "Mom, what happened to your music?" and she was like, "I don't know, honey. I think I might just quit it." I'm like, "What? What are you saying? Like, do you know how much bank you make off of that stuff?"
A source told US Weekly last year: 'Britney had the boys at Jamie’s condo on the evening of August 24. Jamie and Sean Preston got into an argument. Sean Preston felt unsafe and locked himself into a room. Jamie broke into the room and shook Sean Preston.'
In 2007, Britney famously shaved her head at a salon in Tarzana, California, which many believe to be just the beginning of a tragic spiral where she lost custody of her children.
She was placed under a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold in 2008 after being committed to the psychiatric ward at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, which spawned the need for a conservatorship by her father.
As for Britney's beau, Sam Asghari, her youngest son had nothing but good words for the personal trainer.
'I like Sam. He's good, he's nice,' he said. 'He's a really good dude.'
