Never in a million years would I have thought he'd retire after last season. He retired as one of the best qb's in the league so maybe that was his goal. To go out on top.

Lets face it guys, brett was great and well liked.

He would take your best hit and get up talking shit, unlike some of these pussy ass QB's nowadays. Yeah their is dickriding, but montana gets more then him and had the supporting cast of the century. Mentioning montanas great supporting cast and its heretic talk.

He did alot of things playing in green bay with sub par supporting casts on offense. See how the old man did last year with some decent talent.

As for mcnabbs fragile ass signing with green bay. He would be throwing up every game. If he can't take the philly pressure he sure as shit can't take the pressure of filling in for brett. :lol:

I liked Brett but yes, the media was all up his ass each and every game...forgiving him for things that would get any other qb crucified.

I will admit that he seemed to be a standup guy. I remember watching him drop out of the pocket intentionally so Strahan could sack him and get the sack record, Brett rose up with the biggest smile on his face.

He still has another year, but I don't think Philly is going to keep McNabb and Reid, one of them is going to be gone soon. I don't think they will get rid of both of them but I'm pretty sure they'll ax one of them and it will probably be McNabb.

You know as far as I am concerned dude didn't want the media limelight, it was given to him. Think about Michael Jordan, media was always on his dick, but he didn't seek it out. He just went and did his job just like Favre did. As long as there are sports, the media will have to put someone in the spotlight, but its all about how they react when those lights are turned on and Favre just went out there and did what he had to do when the lights were on and off. And to the Bears fan who started the thread, props for not making it so biased.

Anyone remember how he put Javon Walker on blast for wanting more money at the end of his contract when Favre had already restructured to get more money before that? That was a bitch ass move. That showed me his true colors. Walker was down with him for a long time and that cat forced him out

Lord knows he had many battles with my Bucs.

Ill say this. I always respect the way that people carry themselves. He had swag and a hustle on the field that was unrivaled.
