I agree on ALL points. Especially the only two I know of worthy of discussion, but not worthy of everyday discussion

1. Aaliyah - We all knew something. But there was at least a marriage and the discussion could go either way regarding age of consent,
but then for underage consent and marriage, it's probable the parents were involved
2. Sparkles niece - We all knew, and this was bad but the trial happened, and the parents ?? cried about it ?? on their Europe trip when the trial came along?

Aaliyah’s mother, Diane Haughton, released a rare statement on her daughter’s relationship with R. Kelly and the accusation that a former background singer saw him having sex with her when she was 15, which was revealed in the docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly.”

According to E! Online, Diane Haughton said in a statement, “The woman and so-called back up singer that describes seeing, meeting or ever breathing the same air as my daughter, Aaliyah, is lying and is a liar. My husband and I were always on tour with her and at interviews and every place she went throughout her entire career. Whoever this woman is, I have never seen her before anywhere on planet earth, until now.”

Now back to Today. Anything regarding the first two points is in the past.
Aaliyah is dead and the parents were at peace. Regarding the trial, it's a fucked up situation, but that is ended.

They are trying to use those events, to sway people into the stories about kidnapping and sex slaves...
R Kelly may be a freak, but I'd hoped he learned his lesson from the trial to stay out of felonious acts.

The kidnapping stuff was hinted at on the news I think a couple of years ago, but nothing came out
of it I thought because they were lying then. Scumbag activities in the past don't equate to automatic guilt

Had Aaliyah's parents not been in denial, Kelly could've been locked up many years ago and not have hurt any more children. These chose to annul and sweep it under the rug. I actually never got how it needed to be annulled when it wasnt even legal.

There is no way that they were with Aaliyah every waking moment. They surely weren't around when they eloped. If 2 people really wanna fuck, they'll do so standing on a pile of legos in a linen closet with a house full of people.

I disagree about Kellz feeling guilt and shame for his behavior. It is more about reputation and legal jeopardy to keep the media out of his affairs. A good analogy would be someone who does crime all the time with no care about their criminal activities effect their victims and community at large. Then that person gets caught and then want to cop a plea and say they are sorry for what they done. I callthey are not sorry for their foul deeds, they are only sorry karma finally ended their activities. In other words they are only sorry they got caught.
