BREAKING: Henry Cavil OUT as Superman

Fuck caville..he always look angry n shit.
That stupid mustache he had for another movie that they had to remove digitally pissed me off too.i don't like him as Superman and he won't be missed by me.

In another note I hope they recast flash or change the suit or something.cause he looked like a fag in the last movie and had some weird poses that had me and my girl going wtf?

Dude didn't have a Choice.. He was contractually obligated to keep the Mustache. It's not dude's fault that WB demanded tons of reshoots well after principal photography was over.

To be REALLY REALLY REALLY REAL HERE..

Kat's really only actually saw him Play.... a Full Version of Superman once.

BVS and Justice League.... Were edited down so much and changed... that it's hard to even tell what the true design of Superman was supposed to be.

Dude had like 15 to 20 minutes of Clark Kent scenes completely erased from the Theatrical version of BVS and there were tons of Shit deleted in Justice League.

the problem isn't who is in the suit...its SUPERMAN HIMSELF AS A CHARACTER..he's too vanilla.. there is no inner conflict for him

he's over powered and theres no real darkside.. he's too..GOOD. Once you get passed the first movie introdcing him where he all conflicted trying to figure who he is...then where do you go?

this has ALWAYS been the problem with superman..its why the sequels got worse and worse under reeves...

you can do this if you want to...

but that wouldn't change the underlying issue...SUPERMAN HAS NO CONFLICT...

THE MYTHOS OF SUPERMAN NEEDS TO CHANGE NOT THE ACTOR OR SKIN COLOR OF THE CHARACTER

On the subject of DC..
Meet Dan DiDio and Jim Lee’s New Boss – Pamela Lifford
Once upon a time DC Comics Publisher and President Paul Levitz arranged to hide DC Comics in Warners’ Research and Development division, limited access to funds but also limited oversight, and less of a demand for instant profits as long as ideas were generated that other divisions could profit from.

Then the noughties happened and everything changed. Paul Levitz was junked for Dan DiDio, Jim Lee and Geoff Johns, and ex-President Diane Nelson brought DC Comics into the spotlight at Warners and gave it both access to investment, promotion but also demanded profitability in its own right.

And now DC Comics has been rearranged one more time.

It is now under their new Warner Bros Global Brands and Experiences umbrella division that will also include Warner Bros Consumer Products, Themed Entertainment and new global franchises. With Pamela Lifford, who ran the consumer products arm, as President of it all.

Both DC publisher Dan DiDio and DC publisher/CCO Jim Lee will now report to her.

The quote is that Lifford will be working on “all-new fan-engagement business opportunities as well as working to align the current fan-focused activities of WBCP, Themed Entertainment and DC that lend themselves to next-level development. She’ll also work with all divisions of the studio to ensure that every touchpoint for cross-divisional and cross-company collaboration is maximized. Additionally, she will coordinate with WarnerMedia sister companies HBO and Turner as well as various AT&T divisions when appropriate.”

Basically, squeeze it till the pips pop out. Neverending Watchmen

Lifford has been at Warner Bros since 2016 and previously was EVP Global Licensing at Quiksilver for four years including DC Shoes, the company that successfully countersued DC Comics when they sued the Shoes over their trademark. Before that, she was EVP and Global Manager at Disney Consumer Products for twelve years, and before that Director of Product Development Apparel at Road Runner Sports and Product Development Manager at Nike.

Can I suggest that Dan Didio and Jim Lee start wearing decent sneakers to work? It may go a long way.

Supes has inner conflict..if he didn't black kryptonite wouldn't work on him.but it does.ma and Pa Kent did a damn good job raising him and that's why he's not our conqueror but rather our savior.

I'm sure he thinks about it..I could just take over..noone can really stop me.the world would be a better place.i could do so much more.injustice sets this up to happen and shows the results.

Also superman isn't really over powered
When you consider DC's heavy weight villains.mongol,brainiac,darkside,etc.

See thats YOUR thought (and its great inner conflict) but thats not what we SEE in the character..thats the story of superman right there..
The " WORLD OF CARDBOARD" speech from the cartoon when he squared off witth darkseid

THATS The REAL superman thats how he feels and WE NEED TO SEE THAT in the movies but they never really give us that...

A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER - How the world would react if Superman really existed

I wrote this before man of steel came out...I just updated the pics from the BvS cuz it was apropos but check the article and let me know what you think..

Fam to be honest... We never saw Cavill as Clark Kent/Clark Kent... mild mannered reporter.

The only time we actually saw that was in the BVS extended version and in that version... I thought he did a great job.

I've always and will continue to say that the dude has talent.... It was on Display in the Tudors and on display in the Man from Uncle movie. And I firmly believe that he is going to shock people as the lead in THE WITCHER.

The problem is that WB didn't know and continues not to know what THE FUCK TO DO with Superman. His movies should be easy... The animated films alone show that there's years of material to be used for Superman. I mean gawd damn... We still have never seen Brainiac or Darksied in a Fucking Live action film... How the hell is that possible???

The real issue is that this move... is a MEGA Fuck you.. to the people that spent money on BVS and Justice League with the hope that we would be getting a pay off...

Why the fuck are we getting a Shazam movie over a Justice League 2... Was it a Billion Dollar hit.. NO.. but it was improved enough to get people semi-excited for a Sequel..

And now you just say.... FUCK YOU FANS...

You will Watch what we tell you to Watch..

I fucking quit.... Fuck you Warner Bros

Man of Steel 2: Zack Snyder Teases Superman vs. Brainiac

Zack Snyder’s 2013 Man of Steel was always intended to kick off a shared universe of DC superhero movies. And watching it today, it still feels like a really solid foundation for exactly that. It’s a “first contact” film in many ways, effectively showcasing how humanity reacts to someone more than human arriving in their midst, and Snyder’s signature style is tempered somewhat by an almost Nolan-esque patience and approach to the worldbuilding around Superman.
Unfortunately, Man of Steel was critically divisive, and “only” took in $668 million at the worldwide box office. A more than respectable blockbuster figure, but Warner Bros. execs had visions of the magic billion dollar number dancing in their heads after Marvel’s Avengers success the previous summer, and whatever initial plans there were for Man of Steel 2 were quickly scuttled in favor of a more aggressive team-building strategy that would fast track a Justice League movie. How quickly? Well, Man of Steel opened on June 14, 2013 but by July 20, 2013 the studio announced that Man of Steel 2 would in fact introduce Batman.
Of course, we would come to know that film as the even more divisive Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but at the time, fans were satisfied that Man of Steel 2 was a reality, despite its Gotham City guest star. But as many have suspected, that wasn’t the original plan for the sequel, and Zack Snyder has been talking about where his Superman movies could have gone were they not conscripted into the service of hustling the Justice League to the big screen.

“We talked about a Brainiac movie,” Snyder told BroBible. Brainiac would have been a natural choice for the sequel, considering how much worldbuilding and care was done on Krypton in the first film. At the time, Brainiac had never been done properly in live action (it remains the great missed opportunity of the Christopher Reeve era, too), and it wasn’t until 2018’s Krypton TV series that we got a proper look at one of Superman’s best baddies in live action.

Snyder may not have been done with some of Zod’s compatriots, too.
“But I do think that the Kryptonians that are in the Phantom Zone are probably still around,” he said. “And there was always a possibility for their return. Faora and whoever’s left. That was a thing that was always out there that we talked about as a possible sequel.”
Why the focus on extraterrestrial baddies?

“I just think it’s best to give Superman these extaterrestrial challenges because I think you’ve got to be careful with — other than Lex Luthor, because, of course, you have to continue with Lex, because Lex is his real nemesis — but I think you really have to look outside of the Earth for challenges for him because of how powerful he is.”
Snyder ultimately completed his thematic trilogy from Man of Steel to Batman v. Superman to his final cut of Justice League earlier this year. At the moment, Henry Cavill seems to have moved on from the role, Warner Bros. has other plans for the character, and Snyder’s time in the DCEU seems done. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever get to see Man of Steel 2 in any form…but it would have been fascinating to see.

I am not a huge Snyder fan but he would have made a damn good Superman Brainiac movie

Those fight scenes would have been ridiculous

Thise suits at Warner ruin every thing. If it wasnt for their animated features I would wish for them to lose the rights to dc properties. I'd rather paramount, newline cinema or universal own the rights. In other words stidios that let writers and directors breathe. I wish dc would come up with their own studio like marvel did.

Shit, I want Disney to pick up DC Comics. Disney picked the right talent (Kevin Feige @ Marvel) who know WTF they're doing. If this were to happen, we could see some Marvel/DC crossovers. This is the way.
