the AG or president would have to fire the deputy (a guy approved by 96 votes in the Senate- 1st problem )
I'm not sure an interim deputy can dismiss the counsel, so they would need to appoint a new one and get him through the Senate before he can fire the counsel (2nd problem)
and even then - under law he still has to give 30 days notice to a special counsel before he can be fired!
