GOP bill would rename Black Lives Matter Plaza after Charlie Kirk

Andrew Solender
December 10, 2025

The bill is part of a Republican frenzy to posthumously honor Kirk, who has already had a California street named after him and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The House and Senate both passed resolutions honoring Kirk's "life and legacy" in September, shortly after he was killed.

A Republican lawmaker in Florida has introduced a bill to designate Oct. 14, Kirk's birthday, as "Charlie Kirk Day of Remembrance."…

Does that apply to everyone that continues to recognize or "congratulate" George Floyd and his "sobriety," year after year, tormenting that man's family?

Amanda Seyfried says she won’t apologize over Charlie Kirk comments

Actress Amanda Seyfried is doubling down on comments she made after the assassination of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk.

“I’m not f—ing apologizing for that,” Seyfried, 40, told Who What Wear in an interview published Wednesday. “I mean, for f—’s sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes.”

She added, “What I said was pretty damn factual, and I’m free to have an opinion, of course.”

In September, Seyfried faced backlash over an Instagram comment posted shortly after Kirk’s death, writing at the time, “He was hateful.”

The actress told Who What Wear that she considered deleting the post but decided to keep it up, despite the social media backlash. Instead, she made another post to clarify her comment.

“We’re forgetting the nuance of humanity,” Seyfried wrote in September. “I can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk’s murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable.”

“No one should have to experience this level of violence,” she continued. “This country is grieving too many senseless and violent deaths and shootings. Can we agree on that at least?”…

Ms. Mask was listening a post(TikTok or Facebook) with this guy talking about Candice Owens. He pretty much was saying he like the way she’s going after everyone that connected to this shit. He said he don’t care for her but like what’s she doing.
He said they getting rich off of the killing of Kirk. The number he threw out was like 100 million, that shit had me puzzled.
So I’m asking is that money train rolling in dough like that?

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 when attending an event at the Utah Valley University. He's survived by wife Erika, and their two children MacArthur and Genevieve Grace. Now, Erika Kirk has taken over the mantle of CEO, and she's seen an influx of millions after her husband's demise. Here's how Erika Kirk reportedly made her money.

How Erika Kirk made money after Charlie Kirk's death

Erika Kirk received donations in the ballpark of $10 million after Kirk's assassination. Tucker Carlson's nicotine-pouch brand ALP was behind one of the largest funds, and raised $5,485,559, as per The Daily Mail. 'Friends of the Kirk Family' raised $2,572,643; Liberty Memes Foundation raised $1,003,548; and Glenn Beck's 9-12 Project raised $703,280.

As CEO, Erika is expected to draw a similar salary from TPUSA as Charlie did. The Mail reported that the organization had paid Charlie a combined salary of $390,493 for the 12 months to June 2024.

While TPUSA is non-profit, there are for-profit ventures that have come out of it, like Resolute Media Group which runs The Charlie Kirk Show and has over five million subscribers. With membership to TPUSA swelling in recent years, another lucrative spinoff has been TPUSA Merch LLC, as per The Mail. It sells Turning Point-branded clothing along with other merchandise.

As per TPUSA filings, The Mail reported, the charity paid its merchandise subsidiary $289,980 capital contribution and a $130,177 reimbursement for items including hats and tee-shirts. Turning Point PAC, TPUSA's political wing, also took in $112,811.80 the month after Kirk was shot dead. Kirk's organization is expected to generate over $100 million a year, and Erika is at the helm of things.

Kirk, before his demise, had already set up LLCs for his children, so they're well cared for. Moreover, The Mail reported that payout on his insurance was to be in the ballpark of $10 million, setting up a comfortable net for his kids. “He took better care of his family than anyone else I know, and I know many billionaires,” Turning Point board member Mike Miller said of Charlie to The Mail.
