Trust I get it its hard to explain why freedom of speech dont apply to Kirk the same way as others. Its partly because we live in a society now with fake both sides opinions when both sides aint playing by the same rules.
That white man aint suffer in this country. He wasn't oppressed or marginalized.
I don’t believe in celebrating anyone’s death and I mean that. But I also think it’s important not to rewrite who someone was.
King, Evers, Hampton spoke out to build equality and dignity for everyone. Kirk’s rhetoric was different — it was divisive and rooted in racism.
I don’t think we should mourn that man as if he were a hero, because his legacy didn’t uplift humanity. It was poison.
Of course you have the RIGHT to spew it. But im not obligated to respect it. Especially when I was the target.
