Based on those conversations it was more a general concept of reparations. No specified group or sub group.
So that was my next question what are the ideological difference between these terminologies and whats Yvette’s issue with them?
When I first saw the 51 States flag on Watchmen, I can't help but to believe that Lindelöf and Co. got the inspiration from the DoAS Flag to accompany the reparations theme.
Most black folks I've talked to don't even know what ADOS is. Seriously. I've brought this up in a few conversations and they are like "what is that?". These groups aren't well know besides small groups and pockets on twitter.
They aren't anti-ados either. They don't really care. They care about money more than anything else.
I’ve come across this too. Most recently just last night at a holiday party. I try and have conversations about this with folks outside of BGOL but 99% of folks have no idea this is even a thing.
The shit is an internet movement and most black people dont care. And before it can even get off the ground the architects of the movement are already at each other's throats. If you listen to people on BGOL they'll make it seem like it's large, but when you talk to black folks in the street? "Never heard of it".
I’m peeping this. Most the time I’m the one putting black folks onto it and I’m still learning about what this whole thing is my damn self. It’s tough to grasp at times cause there’s a lot to sift through as far as what’s being asked for, who qualifies, and if and when that gets sorted, it’s a moving goal post between these “leaders” and their ideologies.

These people claim themselves as the new Black "Historians".
But are doing nothing but ego-tripping and making bank off of Black Folks lack of historical knowledge and misery.
Can You (especially older BGOL'ers) envision Dr. Clarke, Ben, Jeffries, Welsing, The Hares, Van Sertima, Wilson, Akbar and others of their ilk acting this way???

And I saw many of those folks at various panels and lectures around Harlem during the 70s and 80s.
Also keep in mind that many of our Black Historians were immigrants.

There's way too many books and knowledge FREELY available than giving these Social Media fools any credence.

They won't call for a truce. The movement will die. It's based on lies so it has no legs to stand on. Tariq will then switch to some other money making scheme and Yvette and Tone will go back to being the social rejects that nobody cares about.
