We need more info....like:
  • What size is the room?
  • What size tv do you want?
  • How far away will you be sitting?
  • Whats more important size/quality?

Off the cuff, I'd reccommend the Olevia 747i 47-inch 1080p LCD HDTV. Do a search for it in google. Great price/value, nice size, great upconversion of standard def...great set.

It probably isn't the best money can buy for that price, but if you could get it for like $1200 shipped, you could add a blueray player and some movies. Don't forget about your HDMI cables...

GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS...

You sure it was a $1500 and not a $15.00?

that means ur married = 1200
1 kid = 300
which means 900 of that aint ur money to spend....

or

Ur a single custodial parent of 3 kids 600+900=1500
which means u need to be slapped if u blow it all on a tv

I know about the Stim checks man, I was just calling him dumb for wanting to run out and buy a HDTV without thinking that shit through.

word of warning about the olevia hdtv, it's extremely bright even on the lowest setting and it does generate quite a bit of heat. i have one in my bedroom and it's perfect for gaming consoles cause you can see everything, but i'd advise you adjust the brightness settings in order to keep from going blind.

oh yeah, another thing that's sure to get on your nerves is that fucking blue light whenever your tv is in standby mode, grrr i never knew just how bright the bitch was until i woke up one night and pretty was able to see quite a bit with the lights off. so of course if you get it, be sure to go to your settings and turn that shit off, so you can sleep at night!

other than that, it's a perfect tv no doubt!

its one thing to just get a bonus check....but when u get that money based on the fact that u have kids......its wrong dawg.

They gonna have a 50" HDtv and no xbox360 or PS3 to go wtih it

true it's wrong, but sounds like he's got his mind all made up though. he may already have the ps3 or the 360

Target has the Olevia 42" LCD 1080p for 829 this week. I picked up one and I must say I am impressed. The key is making sure you have HD signal going to the tv. Thant being said, the 720P is awesome!!!! Also, blu-ray on this TV is off the chain!!!!!

I Love This Board, U Guys Are The Best So Much Knowledge. Im Look At The Olevia For 829 And Get All The Equp.

One Love
