Damn....I had to listen to a little video to realize they were really bounty hunters.....shit, I thought they meant Bounty Hunters Bloods because it sure looked like a straight hit.

When you have bounty hunters after you, know you are an elusive motherfucker. The state and local level authorities have said we have exhausted all of our resources and it time to apply rogue tactics, and hire you wayward motherfuckers to handle the job.

Nah...that ain't what happens. I used to own a bail bond company in Texas. The bail bond company hires the bounty hunters, or they have some on staff. The state doesn't hire bounty hunters. In Harris county, if a defendant skips on a 25k bond for example, it costs the bondsman court costs plus 5% of the bond a month until the defendant is back in custody or until enough months go past that it equals the bond amount and you have to pay in full.

At least that is how it used to happen during negotiations. In another county, the minute the defendant forfeits (misses court), they want it all.....fuck that 5% a month shit.

But the point is....bounty hunters work for private bail bond companies to recover the defendants and mitigate the cost to the bail bondsman for that defendant skipping court.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Bounty hunters are paid mercenaries by the states to do the dirty work they cannot do. It's going to be interesting how this case is handled in court, especially in Texas, and if the system can be reformed or done away with legally!
I hope they keep fighting and keeping the process highly visible to raise awareness on how those boys get down!

Good drop!
Question: Are these bounty hunters trained by the state, and what rules and regulations do they follow, is this also state?

Texas Bounty Hunter Regulations
The Texas Department of Public Safety regulates bounty hunters. In order to be one, you must be a licensed peace officer, a private investigator, or a commissioned security officer. Bounty hunters can work independently for clients and can investigate a number of different situations.

In Texas, a bail bondsman can also hire a bounty hunter to track down fugitives who skipped bail. Most states don’t have strict requirements to become a bounty hunter. Texas however enforces regulations that make the job safe for everyone involved. Only people that meet certain requirements can work as fugitive recovery agents. You must meet certain legal requirements set by the state. If you don’t, and work as a bounty hunter you will be brought up on a state felony charge. Texas bounty hunters are not law enforcement officers. They’re employees of private entities like security guard companies or private investigation companies. It’s illegal for anyone to impersonate a law enforcement officer, this includes bounty hunters.

Legal Rights
If someone out on bail doesn’t follow court-ordered guidelines or jumps bail, a bounty hunter can chase them down for a reward. In Texas, bounty hunters can only enter a home with the owner’s consent. Bounty hunters can carry handcuffs and guns. However, they must always state that they’re bounty hunters who work for a specific bail bond agency or legal entity. Bounty hunters aren’t permitted to wear any badges or uniforms that imply they are state or federal agents.

If the bounty hunter is successful at turning the fugitive over to the authorities, they receive a previously agreed upon percentage of the bail. If they fail to bring in the culprit then they get nothing.

Bounty hunters are not allowed to kill anyone unless it is in self-defense. Bounty hunters have the same rights as civilians when it comes to self-defense.

I have a cousin that's a hunter down in FL,RIP to him and this guy.

I'm glad in NY there's no hunters cause I think I would tell em to let me stay in jail cause I don't want no group of dudes with guns, pepper spray and handcuffs hunting me down over no funky couple of dollars for not turning myself in.

That is straight up murder.

Doesn't look like a hit at all.

Looks like when the car moved they felt justified to shoot. When in reality, there was no fear anyone was going to hit.

They been watching too many cops get away w/ this type of bullshit.

They need to be on trial and convicted of 2nd degree murder!

One of Jay Prince FRIENDS or one of JAY PRINCE HITTERS??

Looks like a murder.
To anybody looking on, the first thing that goes through my mind if I'm that guy is I'm being jacked. Let me get out of here.

You're not thinking about no damn cops. You're not thinking about no damn bounty hunters. You're thinking about getting out of there and live in another day since you're already in your car

Those bitch-ass bounty hunters are saying they feared for their lives because of his vehicle, but they were blocking him in, fight or flight kicks in. Fuck the law

Insurance policy... we ALL have one in our name whether you know it or not...

well all as in everyone with a birth certificate

Bullshit. So you are saying that if my ghetto friend who has an extremely successful bail bond company has a defendant who skipped on a 100k bond get killed by bounty hunters, someone is just going to show up out of the blue and pay the bond that HE owes for him??? And say, 'don't worry ghetto bail bond man, the secret life insurance policy on that child rapist who skipped bond will pay what you owe for you and you can keep that 100k that you owe and buy another Porsche."
