It also works with the PS3.

Remote Play. (play games and control your PS3)

Wirelessly stream video on the hard drive of your PS3 to the PSP.

I use my PSP almost every other day, and I got mine on Day one of the 1000 series.

Been there done that...PSP is hugely slept on though...main reason I got rid of it was the size...but it does GAMES...mp3s and movies...really the ultimate multimedia player at it's price...best bang for its buck as the saying goes...once you learn how to get everything free you good to go...!

You suckers still buy games for psp. I'm running custom firmware 3.52 m33. download all my games and play it straight from the memory stick.

Slept on is right! I confiscated it from my kid (of course he wants it now that he sees I like it). This thing beats the hell out of an iPod for air travel. Nothing portable has a screen like this!

I forgot you can surf the net as well...shit only reason I gave it up was the size and I've outgrown video games...but it's still a worthwhile purchase...!

PSP is jack of all trades, master of none. Everything it does, something else can do far, far better. Most people already have some sort of mp3 player that doesn't require constant swapping of mem sticks. People have laptops, and the psp sucks for gaming.

It does so much, yet sucks at all of it.

Yo go fukk your mother stupid...fukk is you talking about...I had an 8 gig stick and that shit handled everything...only beef was the inconvenient size and I was trying to give up gaming...but movies...mp3s...AND VIDEO GAMES on a 4.3" screen for less than $200 is unbeatable...oh and that shit could hit the net for free in a wi-fi zone...fukk outta here...and you can get movies, music and GAMES for free...crack smoking ass nigga...you wilding...

Hey hey hey!!!! I run a business on the side customizing psps. The real question is....what do you WANT to do with it? You can do ANYTHING with a psp except call people, but Skype is about to be in effect soon so there's that! DS is for kids. Grown folk rock PSP with a Blackberry, no man should be without one.

You can-

-Run all the old systems on it (NES, Sega Genesis, SNES etc.)
- Switch any standard op sys within it (custom firmware, diffrent net browser etc.)
- Make it a calculator, GPS, or even a radio.
- Change all the loading screens and sounds, as well as the icons and the fonts...

Sheeiddd and that's before we talk about remote play with the PS3 and playing 37 people on your ad hoc!!!

It connects wirelessly and you dont have to have the same game to play somebody!

Then throw in some movies, mp3s and catch the signal in the air for the internet and shit man what else to you want?!! I never leave home without my shit, because the first time you have to wait for something you gone be pissed, gon wish you had some entertainment...hahaaa bitches, bathroom or DMV have that muthafucka with you!

that's my five cents, PM me if you want to know where to go to get hooked up.

man you need to look online and put some custom firmaware on there. Im running version 3.71 m33 and go online and download your games. I have wordpad running on mine along with a few homebrew programs. I also have a ps1 emulator running on mine so i be playing the old skool ps games (tekken etc.) i also got my music on there so when im on the plane or something like that im never bored. I also have a few movies on that mug and a bunch of pics. I also use it to store some of the important files i have on my cpu. With the PSP possibilities are endless.

Damn I am considering getting one. If all that can be done then it may very well be worth it. Wish it would allow you to play ps3 games remotely. What are the best games for it?

Picked up mine used for $75 Bucks. Tuned it up wit custom firmware 3.80 M33-5 and she smoove now. Cant Fuck with the graphics. A must for Game, music,Movies, pussy on screen portability.

You can play around with homebrew applications, emulators, games, etc (which may take a bit of downgrading, use at your own risk) Forum link

http://www.psphomebrew.net/

You can put custom themes/shells/etc on your web browser -

http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=pspmedia&thread.id=264380

For games, I suggest

Vice city stories
Liberty City Stories
Hot shots golf
killzone liberation

As far as a suggestion in sound, even if you already have 'good' headphones.

Make sure you specifically buy headbanger earsubs, the volume on the psp sucks with pretty much any pair (using sennheiser HD555s and px 100's ) and these are the only headphones that are good enough -in my opition, especially if you plan on listening to music at all.

And here's an mmorpg (allegedly) you can play directly from your psp
