Its CACs in general... they dont knw what to do. They have no way of marginalizing the office so now they have convinced themselves that we are now living in communist Hungary. Bush literally took everything from them and they were silent. Obama tries to give them a helping hand and they are ready to protest...fucking hilarious.

agreed

I was salty while Bush was in office but I never lost my mind or my ability to reason. These cats have lost it. The GOP has them acting against their own interests and they don't even see it.
Who's supposed to be sheep again?

These fucks hate the federal government until they need help from it

How is this Obama's Katrina?

The only ones to die were the 11 from the rig

I dont see entire cities drowned in oil, hundreds of bodies floating in it

Again, the Reps are reaching for straws

And this oil rig was made during Bush's tern, where he deregulated the shit out of the oil and coal industries, and we've seen the results

European nations require you put in a remote shut off valve on their rigs, we didnt, and now look at this mess

This is another delayed gift of the Bush administration and their fuckery

Obama saw what the fuck went down and immediately ceased development or any talk of it of oil rigs

And ole Piyush Jindal can bitch all he wants, now he complains about the FED when his ass needs help

Oh, I want the federal government to keep out of my life.......oh, tornado destroyed my home, where the fuck is the federal government at to help me

He's a republican, he should let the free market take care of it and see how that turns out... :hmm:

Bobby bobby bobby, now is NOT the time to contradict the GOP doctrine of limited government. Surely your resilient leadership can save your constituents without the useless bureaucracy of the federal government that's expanding out of control due to Obama's philosophy of socialism.

Stand firm Bobby, don't fall for OB's jedi mind tricks from the "social" side of the force disguised as federal recovery. Remember, OB is a an arab-muslim-kenyan citizen and not one of us.

right. is there a comparable species in the animal kingdom that will act totally against logic or it's own self interest to such an extreme? i heard if you put a mirror on the ground that a chicken will peck that mf until his beak is destroyed and he bleeds 2 death. not sure if that's true but the chicken prolly has cacboytx beat in terms of cognitive ability.

don't tell his broke ass nothin. and i know he's poor because he hasn't even mentioned the one thing that like 2% of the country can actually have a legit philosophical difference about. only rich folx really have a leg to stand on in opposition to the POTUS, and even that's a wobbly one, from a moral standpoint. but rich people knoe how to shield their assets and find enough tax shelters that even that argument is moot. cacboytx is just a broke ass hillbilly with nothin better 2 do. i'd bet my ass he got an EBT card.

BTW I was in St. Bernard Parish today...and that smell is crazy.

:( i was at the jazzfest hoping the smell wouldn't be in the air, and it wasn't.

i hope they get this cleanup effort underway. and i hope the arizona folks KNOW that most of the clean-up crews are...???

 Was Obama supposed to evacuate the birds and shrimp? Also, I thought that Bobby Jindal was all for state's rights and the free market and didn't need the fed government?

Obama makes white people sweat in their sleep...

GOP: PRIVATIZE THE PROFITS, SOCIALIZE THE LOSSES... never forget that.

whiteboytx: you and the rest of your kind scream that the "gov't can't do anything right... the gov't needs to GET OUT OF THE WAY OF BUSINESS, the gov't is too intrusive... OBAMA wants to takeover everything... THE GOV'T SHOULD LET THE FREE MARKET REIGN."

then, when a PRIVATE company has a major FUCK-UP, all of a sudden, the gov't responded too slow... they're NOT helping bp enough... etc.

you motherfuckers want it both ways...:dunno: WTF?

IF THE GOV'T IS GONNA GET OUT OF BP'S WAY OF MAKING $$$ (capitalism), then THE GOV'T NEEDS TO GET OUT OF BP'S WAY WITH THIS CLEAN-UP EFFORT AND BILL. period.

as for the comparison to Katrina:

BP was a man-made disaster... a complete fuck-up by a private company that will impact La, the oil & gas industry and probably the "way of life" in south La for years to come.

Katrina was a natural disaster... something that could NOT be avoided. bush was playing air guitar at mccain's birthday party, condi was shopping for shoes, and the dick, cheney was probably having a meeting with his father, Lucifer Devil Satan.

this incident isn't Obama's "katrina." this incident will once again prove how incompetent the bush administration was in allowing oil execs to write the energy policy and basically plead to NOT install additional safety devices on deepwater BOP stacks.

yes, cheney had a hand in this.

What's missing from the discussion is exactly what happened.

The short version: the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig is owned by Transocean Ltd. and operates the drilling rig under contract for oil giant BP.

Industry speculation points to a process where a special "cement" (but not Portland cement which is used to build buildings) is used to seal cracks in the ocean floor surrounding the tubing through which crude oil flows.

Those men died in an explosion and fire shortly after the cementing of the wellhead. Cementing is a dangerous and risky process if not done properly.

Contracted to conduct the cementing at Transocean's Deepwater Horizon were four men from... Haliburton. Yes, that Haliburton.

Drilling Process Attracts Scrutiny in Rig Explosion

An oil-drilling procedure called cementing is coming under scrutiny as a possible cause of the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico that has led to one of the biggest oil spills in U.S. history, drilling experts said Thursday.

Exactly.

Bush didn't even win the election in 2000, he lost the popular vote and was given the victory by the Supreme Court. Can you imagine if that had happened in 2008? Repubs would have spontaneously combusted.

And Democrats were upset about it but they didn't go insane.

And it's so bad on their side that I saw some facebook group called something to the effect of "I'm mad when I wake up in the morning and Obama is still president."

That level of hatred is insane. And it's primarily rooted in racism.

as much as i hate dick cheney, i can't hate on halliburton (cheney was VP) because i have a lot, and i mean a LOT of friends who work for them.

to me, the bottom line is this: the oil is leaking thru the drill pipe somewhere on the seafloor. if it's leaking thru the pipe, the BOPs SHOULD have this contained.

BTW, fellas, if the BOP's and downhole safety valves, etc., fail due to a poor cement job or MORE faulty equipment, the potential oil spill (from wells in this area) could be upwards of 50,000 barrels per day.

that's 2.1 million gallons per day.

if it's a REALLY good deepwater well, double that number to 4.2 million gallons or 100,000 barrels per day.:smh::smh::smh:

:(:(:(:(

katrina almost killed my home state. and now, BP, transocean, & halliburton can potentially kill the seafood industry for years to come.

Shit fucked up all around. Gas prices are about to go up because this shit.

again, this was a DRILLING rig, NOT a PRODUCING platform.

there is no reason for the futures (speculation) market to jack-up the prices on concerns of supply... because this rig/area was NOT contributing to the current supply.

this was/is new production.

so, if the price goes up, it's based on PURE greed and bp lobbyists, etc., pushing the "man behind the wall," to MAKE the tax payer foot the bill.

:lol::lol::lol:

She doesn't even know if she and her husband earn over 250K annually and she's the voice of the newly-awakened "giant?" :smh: at these patriots.

Jesus, O'donnell could have crucified this fool but really took the high road in exposing her stupidity.
Jindal is a soul-less, opportunist, but not an idiot, he need that gub'ment assistance.

For days, as an oil spill spread in the Gulf of Mexico, BP assured the government the plume was manageable, not catastrophic. Federal authorities were content to let the company handle the mess while keeping an eye on the operation.

sorry this is not acceptable.

this isn't really an Obama issue. this is a "corporations have way too much power in this country" issue. we need to rein in corporations HARD.

BP's executives should go to jail for DECADES. that is THE ONLY WAY that these fuckers will stop this type of bullshit. if you or I was caught dumping a barrel of oil into the ocean we'd go to jail. these fuckers contaminate the whole goddamn gulf and no fucking penalty :hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:

Shit, Exxon is still dragging its feet in cleaning Newton Creek in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. That oil spill happened back in the 1980s. :smh:

if the leak is deep underwater how do they fix it ? more cement ? would it hold back the pressure ?

stealth edit: ah well I'm thinking maybe add a new pipe so there is less pressure on the new cement ? ...i dunno just guessing... it's an interesting field to work in

i went into oil & gas because i thought it was a very challenging, very exciting, and very innovative field... esp. engineering.

deepwater drilling technology... from the structures used to drill the wells to the drilling systems and equipment to the technology "in the hole," and even the technology to produce the oil & gas in these harsh conditions is challenging, daily.

you cats will NEVER believe this, but i've already gotten in-touch with a french chemist to "modernize" an old idea that stopped a blowout long ago.

the chemistry involved can't/won't be developed in-time to help THIS well, but if this ever happens again, my black ass is gonna get paid.

:dance::dance::dance:

the ONLY way to stop this leak, is to drill a relief well from another rig. the BOP's aren't holding = big trouble.

and dumb ass BP is gonna employ JUST one more rig. :smh:

Pres. Obama should DEMAND that they employ at least 2 or 3 rigs... all drilling for the same target.

that way, if there's a mechanical problem with the primary rig (there always is with drilling rigs), the other 1 or 2 rigs can keep "turning to the right" and making progress.

halliburton's cementing crews should have known something was up when they started losing returns.
