Exactly....we understand the gravity of the role. It's all about timing right now this is the man for the job. Maybe in the past they might have been other actors but for whatever reason the time is now and this is the guy I'm just glad the movie is finally being made it's long long overdue

Exactly....this shit happened with them Biggie and Pac biopics.....were the actors terrible? Nah. I'd even say they did decent jobs for their first time acting. But why the hell do you get "decent" when you can get a talent who's turned in great roles already? I feel like some of us are just programmed to want to see someone look like the person but not actually act....

they had to fly this guy out and get him a dialect coach instead of literally looking in their own back yard....
put it this way.. how would Damson Idris, Idris Elba, John Boyega Daniel Kaluuya feel if there was role about a black british man from manchester with that particular accent and they hired an american black actor gave him a dialog coach to play say Lemn Sissay, MBE a world renowned author and broadcaster. He has been BAFTA nominated and is an International Prize writer, who was awarded an MBE for services to literature by The Queen.
now get a black american actor to play that guy and see if black brit actors wouldn't be upset.... not just because its a british character but also because they lost out ON A JOB that one assumes a black brit could do and they wouldnt have to get a dialog coach and do special research because they already know who this guy is.
