What? :hmm:

I don't eat fish myself but, I've caught lots of Blue fish. The key is cutting out that dark line inside of them. If you cut that out, it'll be fine.

sidenote: My mother never fried Bue fish. she always baked them.

if you soak bluefish in milk or buttermilk for 15 minutes to half an hour it removes most of that fishy taste. it can be very good fried. when i go to amy ruths i get bluefish and waffles and its amazing. its also really good if you cook it then make like tunafish salad with it. really good with some apple in it to contrast the taste. amazing smoked.

:) Thanks BG.

Man you've gotten great information. It depends on the size of the fish. Smaller bluefish taste better than larger ones. However if you have larger fish (over 4 lbs) cut away the dark flesh it has a strong oily taste. Also like Bigirl said you can soak the fish and that will take away the strong oily taste.

A great fish to catch. A 10 pounder will wear your ass out if your not skilled.

You ain't lyin' Homie. I caught my first Blue at about 10 or 11 years old. I was literally at muscle fatigue Yo. I could barely keep the rod tip up. As hard as it was, I couldn't wait to hook the next one though.

Yeah they are great fighters I love catching them too. The best time for the big ones is late August until their southern run (east coast y'all) is complete. But as far as eating the smaller ones are better.
