Man I was about to fire up Bargain and gawd damn I had to come back to the rewatch of this instance classic. I just fucking loved everything about this. Especially the fact that it’s fucking Hard R and the attention to detail is just something that you don’t talk about.

Shit is good. i like how they used a parallel life in the brothel fight to give her a sense of courage and purpose, resulting in her still standing at the end
That episode was a masterpiece to me… everything about it
at first it wasn't for me. When they ended the episode when the "clawers" showed up, I was thinking the next episode was going to be straight up bloodbath....but then when I saw how they were relating things together it made sense and made the fight scenes even more enjoyable.

It's decent, the problem is watching it, after watching Blue Eye Samurai. Doing that is going to hurt the experience with Onimusha.

It's that they didn't make it an hard R for no reason. Not just because they could. Nothing felt gratuitous. Every bit of foul language and nudity felt necessary earned appropriate and story driven.
THAT is damn near impossible to pull off.
There is no way I would let a kid under 16 watch this...

After Blue Eyes, I tried to watch Onimusha....I couldn't. I stopped after the first episode...Just not the same....the dialogue, the demon, the story, the characters...don't come anywhere close to Blue Eyes
