Im not watching it no mater how many valid points he made mostly everybody from the hood is going for Floyd and they dont even follow boxing

I follow boxing and im going for floyd i even know a bunch of spansh motherfuckers going for Floyd cause they dont like what pacman did to all the mexican fights, Cotto and how Marquez got jerked twice

If you support someone on because of their skin color you are about as dumb as a redneck or grand wizard. It is all about the person character and actions. Pbf does even act as though he cares about the sport. He disrespects his opponents and the sport on numerous occassions. I think only a dumb person solely looks at race. You can have it both ways. Looks like we look for a reason not to support him. For all of you people who do not know. Whatever a Black person does he has very little support from Black People. (look at how many black women voted against Obama! I am old enough to remember Muhammad Ali and MANY, MANY Black people HATED HIM! I am old enough to remember how Malcolm was treated by most Black people. Even Martin Luther King had MANY, MANY, MANY Haters. Read about Marcus Garvey, Noble Drew Ali, and Even Nat Turner who had difficulty gettting black support.


THE POINT is it is very difficult for Black People to get support like other races of people do. They do not hate themselves as much as we do! Even white people understand THAT about us.

I was all ready to get on here and ridicule this Youtube kid ("pierced eyebrow-assed muhfucka") or whatever. Turns out, I actually agree with a lot of the things he had to say. We don't support our own forcefully enough. We laugh at each other when we fail. I'm not about to advocate black group think, but I do believe that many of us go against the grain because we think that disagreeing with the community consensus is somehow noble. Too many of us covet being thought of as "different" from other blacks at the expense of all-too-needed solidarity.

I agree but I want to add this.

I just got through watching the Pavlik v. Espino fight and it was all white faces in the audience. The fight took place in Pavlik's hometown and that got me thinking about the element of this that really wasn't talked about... Nationalism.

We've talked about race but for the most part (outside of black fighters), you see some people give boxers support based on race and nationality. I've heard Kelly Pavlik hyped as an All American fighter, but you will never hear an American black/latino/etc. mentioned like that.

I think our racial pride becomes such an issue for us because we are hated in our home country. We don't get supported by our home country like white people get supported... or other races get support by their countries. I can't think of another group, short of the Jews, that had this issue close to the level black people have had it. The main difference between us and Jews, is that we were brain washed into hating ourselves (and of course most of them can hide their race if they wanted to).

Anyways, I try to support the best fighters, but I'm extra proud when a black person is the best.
 
The point is, every other minority can find unity no matter what. Some latinos are bad but not like blacks. If you don't like my beliefs on black unity then put me on ignore. If you think black people can be "racist", throw me on ignore. We should be able to be unified like everyone else, but we can't. That's sad. We should be able to have basic unity. Whitey's got a hold on a lot of the sell-outs who just opposed me in this thread. Keep in mind, whitey doesn't give a fuck about you, and neither do filipinos, you sucka-ass, bootlickin, sodomized bitches. If you hate black unity throw me on ignore, and shut the fuck up.
 
I'll be cheering for Mayweather even though I don't like the bastard.
