What I mean by submit is that they are loyal and trust the advice of their men and follow suit. Don't get me wrong women be careful of men who are just plain fools avoid at all cost and stop letting these losers knock you up.

Do black woman like to submit to the black man? Take her role as a queen. The feminazi, oops..I mean feminist movement have particularly attacked the black female.

One time the black woman had a clearly defined role in the African civilizations of the past. She knew how to be a female and respect her role, purpose and responsibilities being a female entitled to them by nature. Black females of the past had their own sisterhood and rites of passage ceremonies. Our ancestors were matriarchal and in many cases polygamous. Polygamy was started by black african females by the way(I will make a polygamy thread later:yes:).

Tell me what you sisters think. Do you find the western and modern way better for you sisters or do you think we should return to our glorious past and remember who we were when our families were stable and our societies civilized and most importantly our people were great.

Not that I am trying to put you down, but did something occur for you to become this way?

I want my woman (not that I currently have one) to be my equal. There will be time when we each would have to take a back seat to each other.

If there was a man who were the opposite of these traits you listed would you be willing to share said man with other black women. He is a good father to all his children and husband to all of his wives and he is wise and loving. Could you sisters share him and other men like him and rebuild our black society?
 
I am a man who does not like to share his meat. If you are my woman (not a booty call partner) there's no way I'm agreeing to someone else getting that pussy. That MY pussy.

But to each their own. Conversation up front would be crucial in a situation like that. My opinion is that it can only end badly if not discussed in an adult manner

I must make this point. Females can only produce 1 child a year vs a male who can give his seed many times. Being pregnant takes the woman out of the game sexually for a year. A woman needs some time to recover(3-4 months) after childbirth before making another child. (I think pregnant penetration is disturbing and wrong personally)

I never said I would be out there running around on you. I'm not sharing myself either. That was the whole point of "committed relationship" in my opinion.

Had we said "let's have a sexual only relationship" and we both agreed then I would have no right to get mad at you for handling something on the side. We never committed to each other.

Sorry for not being clear. I only said this because you said you wanted yours to. It is a reason why men with multiple wives work better then women with multiple husbands.

I feel a man should only have the number of children he can be a real father to. Finances are important. I just think a household with more parents make the unit stronger. The nuclear family is a white thing and it suits them.

I do believe in submission to a man to a very small degree.
He must be the right man and he must be a fair and honest one.
He must be able to allow for concessions. Any wise man would.

But for the most part, I have yet to find a man worthy enough where I could place my total trust in him.
 
I like equal relationships. But alot of women refuse to think with logic and will act fueled only by emotion. :smh:

Once that happens i think thats when it's time to put my foot down. and say "this is what's going to happen. we're doing it this way because you refuse to think straight."

An equal partnership in my eyes is more a 60/40 split depending on the day and the needs. Whoever is better at what needs to be done take the lead.
 
I would have no problem submitting to my "man." I think that in a relationship the "power" sometimes shifts and a good man or woman knows how to adapt to that. I like being able to rely on a GOOD man for support, trust, advice, and all those things.

I think that it definitely comes from having a male and female run house growing up until early teens. A lot of women don't have that and are using to seeing different things...

I agree with that. Someone once told me that a true partnership is 100/100 with both people doing their best to compromise & please the other person.

At OP: I wish I could submit to a man like my mom and them. My mother has always brought in more income than my dad, she got more common sense than him, and I really think she is smarter than him in general. But HE has always been the head of the family and she looks to him for guidance in everything. The one time I really thought I had found my one, I completely trusted him and that was my biggest mistake. Like I was saying in another thread, men are so different now than when my mom was a young woman. So I don't think I'm going there again and I won't submit to another man in the same way, but I'll still give my 100%

just because you have a penis does not mean u are automaticlly in control

i have no problem supporting my man...being loyal...and all that other jazz u speak of

but that type of respect does not come automaticlly

men need to work on being worthy of being submitted to...then i bet more would find women are more willing to do it
 
I don't believe men and women are equals. The man is the head and women are 2nd in command.

This is why so many marriages fail. 1) people getting married for the wrong reasons 2) to many folks trying to be the leader.

As strong willed as I am... once I get married I will submit...

Going by your definition of "submit" I can def. get with being loyal and trusting the advice of my partner. I would have faith that he's doing what's best for "us" and not for himself.

I think that a lot of women due to past relationships have a hard time trusting the advice of their partner or even allowing him to make the decision for both parties. But I also believe that there are good sisters out here who want to give over some responsibilties after being the one who ran the household for so long. And speaking from personal experience that transition may not be an easy one.

It's taken me a little while to get to the point where I can follow my SO lead and feel confident that we are making the right move. I was so use to relying soley on my own opinion that allowing someone to say "baby let me, or baby what about this way" was kinda hard to swallow.

I mean think about it sistas are doing the damn thing without the help of brothas! They are tired of being disappointed and prob. don't believe that "todays" black men are up for the challenge of running a household. And that mentality of "do it yourself" is passed down to our daughters. The days of grooming "housewives" is over imo. I believe it will be very hard to go back to the days of old...
