Black Thor

Black Bolt:

I don't think he was so much Black as in an African but a dark colored
alien.

Hey Fam

Anybody here remember a black character with the same abilities as Thor? If so what is his name?

From which universe or publisher?

There are 3,206 black characters in comics with similar power from many different publishers from many different countries.

Since most cats on BGOL only know mainstream I doubt you mean any of them though...

:hmm::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:...just answer the fucking question!:hmm:

All I can remember is that the character in ? and Thor were in a comic battle, and for those who followed Thor you know only a select few could possess Thor's hammer.

How the fuck do I even know what the fuck this cat is asking?

That's like asking 'What's the name of that hispanic cat from Puerto Rico...?' :hmm:

:hmm::rolleyes:

:D...he got me searching...sorry I wuz trippin!...OP (ThunderMaker) u better post the answer when u find it!

Dasmybikepunk I have been looking for a while he is in one of my stashed comics about 770 miles from me so access isnt easy. Another cat remembers who I talking about, yeah no problem when I find him I will post

The ONLY black Thor...or Thor like character in the Marvel Universe was this cat...

He appeared in a 'New Warriors' story arc called 'Forever Yesterday.'

We talking commanding storms, lighting, super strength, magic weapon, invincibility and all that correct?

I have a feeling you just talking about a cat that went toe to toe with Thor that was black....

That was Horus the Egyptian god of the Sky, also the husband of Storm in that created timeline.

There was a barbarian/Thor type in Kevin Grevioux's comic the Vindicators named Narmer - He's the kat shown on the left in the first images wearing egyptian garb

Ok in the image below, he's in the middle panel on the left; with big mace ya can't miss him

Yeah but he said it was in Thor comic...hence a Marvel U character is what he seeks.

Would you say that about Icon too?

Oh yeah maybe dude means Shango?

When it comes to ICON it can be debated.

Did ICON ever change his form? I don't remember if he did...but if he can change then he ain't black.

Shape changers are never anything specific.

Well I think Milestone once did an issue that showed what could've happened had he not been found by a slave woman. But is stated that in later issues he had an opportunity to be reverted back to his alien form - but chose not too due to being :hmm: like he was for so long....

That has to be who he means.
He has fought Thor a few times.
And wasn't he in an Avengers special where he killed Eternity or something like that and became the most powerful being in the mulit-verse?

Marvel has a few characters named Horus floating around.

He was used sparingly and I don't remember him and Thor fighting per se. Seth took his powers once and fought Thor...Maybe that was it?

Here are the books that I know of Horus being used in...there could be others but I pretty sure this is it.

Thor #240 to 241, #398 to 400
Marvel Two-In-One #23
Thor Annual #10
New Warriors #11 to 13
Marvel - The End #1 to 6
Avengers Forever
Incredible Hercules #116-117

He is never fully penned as 'black'...Sometimes he appears with a dark tan but with white features, black, white and sometimes he is gold skinned (or white) with a hawk head.

Back in the day when I use to play 'Marvel RPG' I was all up on the gods and such because most of the campaigns my friends and family would do would be GODKILLER stuff.

You know what I am going to re-read my 'Icon' comics because I do remember a story where he was given or learnt (this does not seem correct though) the ability to shape change.

From what I do know, he can not willingly shape change so he is exempt.
