Celebs Team Up With Slutty Vegan Eatery To Offer Free Food After Racist Leave Negative Reviews

Slutty Vegan, celebrities team up to give away free food today

Pinky Cole, the owner of popular West End vegan eatery Slutty Vegan, is teaming up with some famous names to give away free food.

Pinky Cole, the owner of the Slutty Vegan and a popular plant-based chef and philanthropist in the Atlanta area, recently came under attack after a group of angry white social media users left negative reviews and racist language on her website. In response, a few of Cole’s celebrity patrons decided to help out by buying out her popular local eatery.

A false rumor started spreading saying Cole refused to service police officers after teaming up with local business owners to provide the family of Rayshard Brooks, a 27-year-old Black man who was shot and killed by police officers in Atlanta, with several items like a car and life insurance for all of his children. According to Baller Alert, the situation took a turn when Cole released a statement saying that her eatery would temporarily stop its food delivery to the Atlanta police force and that they “stand firm with those fighting against social injustices.” However, they were still welcomed to come in and order their meals.

The false reviews started to accumulate after a Facebook user made a post in a group called Georiga Backs The Blue berating Cole on her decision. “So now Police Officers can’t eat at Slutty Vegan! Wow…. All Police aren’t bad! No problem….and everybody says to support black businesses….Smh!” they wrote. This led to hundreds of users flooding Google with reviews containing racist messages. Madame Noire reports that in response to the wave of racist messages, celebrity patrons including La La Anthony, Chris Paul, Gabrielle Union, and Ludacris came together to buy out Cole’s restaurant to offer the community free food on Tuesday, June 30.

Tyler Perry is an angel, and he proved it once again when he went to a Houston's restaurant in Atlanta Sunday and left a $500 tip for each of the 42 out-of-work servers.

Tyler's a big fan of the chain and has been driving over to the one on Northside Parkway pretty frequently to pick up some delicious grub.

He showed his appreciation in a big way ... with way more than a 20% tip ... $21,000!!!

It's a lifesaver for these out-of-work employees. The federal money for fired workers is supposed to get maybe delayed ... in some cases up to 20 weeks, and that just doesn't cut it.

Tyler is one of the most charitable guys in entertainment. When there's a disaster anywhere in the world, Tyler's the one to fly in supplies. As we reported, Tyler had a plane flown down to the Bahamas after it was devastated by Hurricane Dorian.

With millions of people out of work and things looking like they're only going to get worse this month, the generosity of everyone is about the only thing that's gonna get us through this.

Some of the good people of Atlanta are pitching in to help Rayshard Brooks' wife and kids ... with some very generous and useful gifts.

Rayshard's widow, Tomika Miller, was surprised with a new car Friday, plus life insurance for their 3 children and full rides for them to attend Clark Atlanta University.

Tomika's new ride is a Ford Escape, and it's already paid for ... she got the keys at her lawyer L. Chris Stewart's law firm.

A couple of Atlanta restaurant owners are picking up the tab on the car, life insurance and college tuition ... Slutty Vegan owner Pinky Cole, and Big Dave's Cheesesteaks owner Derrick Hayes.

As we reported ... Rayshard was shot in the back and killed by Atlanta police officer Garrett Rolfe last weekend in a Wendy's parking lot.

The Brooks family had an emotional memorial service this week, and Rolfe is now in custody and facing multiple charges including felony murder.

Rayshard left behind his wife and their kids ... 8-year-old Blessing, 2-year-old Memory and 1-year-old Dream. He also had a stepson, 13-year-old Mekai.

So Pinky and Dave passed along the blessings. Thats the way a community should work. The O.Gs and wealthy should bless the black businesses so then in turn the business owners can help the community. Staying on code

Every time I go to Atlanta I miss out on Slutty Vegan because of the long wait. I'm going to check out Big Dave's next time I visit.

Yea she does a lot for the city... Atlanta has embraced her and Dave. They both just opened new locations, Big Dave's in Doraville. I can't remember where the Slutty Vegan second location is. I do want to go see what that burger is all about though.
