Black Man Lost His Job Over Twitter, Maybe HNIC Should Take Heed

I foresee a lot of this type of thing going on in decades to come.

These new generations don't get it.

First thing hr depts do these days is look up social media accounts.

Kids these days can't live or function without social media, because that's all they know.

When they're upset, when they need to vent, when they're angry...where do they go... They let EVERYONE know.

Look at all the people who post subliminals about their relationship or about someone else. Then once they calm down, they delete the shit. Most of the time, it's too late. Somebody saw it. And I'm like why did you type that shit in the first place.

Would you like to say something :hmm:
the whole argument that kaya and hnic have been having about the board being indexed and searchable in Google...

i know dudes on this board talk a good game but some of them do go punch in with wypeepo and work side by side with them everyday.

seems like he's getting at the things we post here might no go over as well with boss....

That's why I posted the topic. I know some up here might not be as real as they pretend to be, and they should think about some of the things they post, especially now.

So once he has a Facebook, Twitter, etc accounts how can he COMPLETELY erase lets say 5 years of posts?

Making a NEW one will still allow old friends and enemies to dig up stuff

And shouldn't some smart Black people create this as a service?

A type of Cleaner service that goes as far in the net as possible and literally cleans up your online image?

How to Clean Up Your Social Media During the Job Search

Think the whole “future employers checking your social media accounts” thing is just an annoying urban legend? Think again.

It turns out that one in three employers have rejected candidates based on something they found out about them online. So, here’s a guide to what you need to know before you start sending your resume out there. The bottom line: Don’t lose a job offer just because you forgot to delete those photos from your friend’s bachelorette party.
