I have personal friends and relatives that got sentences of 10 years and more for a single joint.

25 to life for personal stashes were the norm.

cats getting 0-99 sentences meaning they face violations for the rest of their lives.

Yeah, because our 'leaders' are always so far behind white leaders that they couldn't see that prohibition was the problem not the drugs. So they just followed the prohibition plan until it became 'in' for white people to question prohibition.

I agree 100%, whats frustrating is that the conscious community warned them back then how the cops was setting us up and how they were giving us the rope to hang ourselves, so the white man will be able to do exactly what they are doing now.. I spoke to a young sista a few weeks back. She said she wished she grew up in the 90s because the music was better (She's was born in 2001 or 2002).
