Cronut burger vendor shut down after food poisoning incident in Canada

A dozen people became ill after eating a cronut burger at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto Tuesday night.
The cronut burger may be to blame for a slew of food poisoning incidents in Canada.
Twelve people suffered from gastrointestinal symptoms while five were hospitalized after attending the Canadian National Exhibition on Tuesday night in Toronto.
"The one thing that they all seem to have in common, was that they had eaten the cronut burger," hospital staff told Newstalk 1010.
The cronut burger collaboration comes from Toronto's Le Dolci and Epic Burgers and Waffles and is made with a burger patty, maple bacon and processed cheese between a cronut bun which is not affiliated with cronut inventor Dominique Ansel's New York City bakery.
While the CNE is known for dishing out unconventional food options like Nutella fries and bacon and peanut butter milkshakes, attendees are pointing fingers at the cronut burge
"Take back what I said about the cronut burger. Don't do it. I puked seven times last night," tweets writer Anupa Mistry, who claims the only other thing she consumed was a Coke.
Epic Burgers and Waffles was shut down today by Toronto Public Health and will not be open until a health inspection is conducted, tweets Toronto Sun reporter Don Peat.
Though medics have not confirmed a source for the illness, CNE's website says an "expert team is onsite at the CNE investigating the situation."
