Check out a list of the 10 things we learned about Birdman from his new interview with Angie Martinez:

1) How learning about the bible while locked up at 16-years-old gave him a different outlook on life and helped him turn his own life around. "When I was incarcerated I learned about God..It was my first time reading the bible...I changed as a person, I was really young and wild."

2) Minister Farrakhan is one his mentors. The minister even blessed Stunna's Miami home while his kids and brother were present. "That's somebody I have the upmost respect for" he says about Minister Farrakhan.

3) His mother died when he was only 2-years-old and his dad died when he was 5-years old. "I lost my whole family...I was raised with no parents".

4) Birdman lived in a boys home for years after his parents died and until his stepmother picked him up at 10-years-old.

5) Stunna lived in Canada for several years, yet has never told Drake about this.

6) Baby has a hatred toward men's suits due to him wearing them to so many funerals of people that he loved.

7) He's infatuated with walking around with large amounts of money since he became a millionaire. "It was like a dreams come true."

8) The fact that he's never loved a woman enough for her to hurt him. "I love what I do more than I love a woman."

9) That he sleeps with three guns in his bedroom with one being under his pillow.

10) NY artists that he likes? Maino and Uncle Murda + that 50 Cent's 'I'm The Man' is his favorite song right now.

Bird man played himself..Plain and simple..It isn't the 1st time his character has been called into question.I don't doubt the fact he may have been a street nigga in his hay day or had a tough start in life..But now he's looked upon as a clown with money and a snake CEO who don't pay his artist what they deserve even though he has made millions off of them.So he can talk about God and why he needs guns and don't wear suits. This aint no movie..It's reality..He lives in a mansion in a gated community with live in body guards..Who the fuck gonna break in his house to murk his ass!!!C'mon son..Like allot of artist(rappers) need to do is..Stick to making music and stay in your lane..Its funny i used to think Will Smith was a sell out..But now i see why he never gave 2 fucks about street cred..Look at him now..He winning..And the whole way there cats was taking shots at him about his choices..But he stayed about his business and let the BS stay where ever it landed..Never addressed any of that dumb shit..Wether it was true or not.

criticize her all you want but she has ALWAYS been able to get people who never talk or who are very protected to revel themselves

she is the Barbara Walters of hip hop she got her own lane.

she would have been perfect fro Oprah network doing these long form interviews with important names in hip hop in front and behind the scene.

again I understand and agree she is a a very AGREEABLE interviewer but I don;t need all my interviews to be confrontational...

funny it would be mad easy to find at least a HUNDRED posts saying how dudes hated the breakfast club interviews.

I'm glad some artist don't even entertain the breakfast club because those three will be in and party with these artist then turn around leak information about them out to the public and then invite them to their show because the artist need them to play their records. They have some type of leverage but more artist need to shut them down because without the artist they have NO SHOW.

Charlemgne however you spell his name is a bitch less than a man and it goes back his Wendy Williams days.Just because he didn't say it he co-signed a lot of unnecessary bullshit like for instance Method man's wife battle with cancer that no one knew about until she got on the radio and said it,not even Method Man knew.
You can't call yourself a man and co-sign shit like that, ever.

This was so well said. I got to give you props on this comment.

Nah, she's bad at her job as a radio journalist. She rose to prominence because she was on Hot97 for years when they were the ONLY game in town. Ppl know her voice, ppl like her because of familiarity. The 'voice of NY' has more to do with her time on the station and its prominence in Hip Hop during that time, than it does with her skill at interviewing.

She used to interview Jay-Z and it was like she wanted to crawl under the table and suck his dick. I'd bet $1000 he smashed her, I'm sure of it. Ur job as a journalist of any sort is to ask questions that people want to hear, probe, find interesting angles. Not giggle like a school girl and act like ur besties. She wanted to be famous, she wanted to be an artist, she wanted to be friends with artists, be at their parties/homes and thats a conflict of interest and stops u from being a journalist and asking the right questions. CTG is a clown, and is disrespectful for his ratings, BUUUT, their interviews ALWAYS get to the important uncomfortable questions that you want asked!!!! I'm not saying their whole approach is correct because its not, but they always get to the meat of the interview, no questions are off the table.
there was 1 time she didnt and it ended like birdman vs the breakfast club., it was someone big like p diddy
She interviewed Diddy during the 'free the lox' time and she was very partisan and adversarial. It was like she was interviewing him on their behalf. Again, it was very unprofessional. She wasnt just asking questions, she was overtly biased. She ended up looking foolish because there was so much she didn't know about the business and how it works, and she was trying to attack Diddy and was just unprepared. Not that Diddy was right, hes as much a crook as any of the execs, but he was being singled out as especially crooked because he was young black and visible. Nobody threatens Tommy Mottola. Diddy made those points in the interview.

I agree, Angie is a great interviewer. She actually talks about shit people want to know but she comes with respect.

In my personal opinion she is not an ass licker like FLEX..
She give mutual respect and that is how anyone should speak to a celebrity when getting an interview.

I we've been making fun of Baby lately, but I'm actually enjoying the interview - especially him talking about hanging around Minister Farrakhan and how he doesn't talk much but just listen to him.

It was a pretty good interview. I don't think The breakfast club would have got him to talk about his upbringing.

This. I have always liked Angie Martinez.
I dont think she is a "yes woman", she just isn't all about gossip, an antagonist, and negativity. She a real person and she respect the art, the music, and the business enough to want people to respect HER business.

It's hard to take Charlemagne & Yee serious sometimes when they don't seem to take their positions serious.
