Squaawwwk... "The sky is falling!" cried Chicken Little.
The "Bird Flu Epidemic" must be believed.
It must be believed because it cannot be known.
It cannot be known because it does not exist.
54 people dead in THREE years and no more than 100 suspected deaths, is not an epidemic by any valid measure!
Have you heard anything about the death by lightning epidemic?
Latest update to this page.
This is 9th grade math folks! In the USA, the rate of death caused by lightning is 0.5 persons per million. Given this rate, how many people would be killed by lightning in the USA each year? If this rate is the same for Canada, how many people would be killed in Canada each year by lightning? See if you can find out how many people are killed each year in Canada by lightning. Calculate the rate per million. Is the probability of being struck and killed by lightning higher or lower than the probability of winning the jackpot in the 649 draw?"Check it out...

Words such as if, could, may, fear that bird flu is mutating, about to mutate, may mutate, could become epidemic, etc., etc. tell this story. Everything else is pure "shock-n-awe" material to grab your attention.
Here is our real problem. Ignorance as a Leading Cause of Death...
How many phone calls have been made to report a dead bird?
What is the worlds bird population?
What is the average lifespan of a bird?
How many birds die each year?
How significant can the death of one bird be???
This is either a wartime psychological operation, OR they are getting ready to test their latest designer disease!
OR both.
~ Just for the record, I suspect the latter ~
Not to worry, there is a vaccine coming.

To MSM about 'bird flu'--SHUT UP!
An “influenza” is a viral infection that has a relatively short lifespan and causes problems for its victim in the form of several minor effects (chills, high fever, aches and pains, headaches, sore throat, mucosal irritation). These actual “flu” conditions may make someone feel like they want to die, but the influenza virus generally does not kill a person—nor an animal. —

Avian Flu Fright:
If avian flu becomes more than a threatened pandemic, it will have done so by political and economic design. This thesis is supported by current massive media misrepresentations, profiteering on risky and valueless vaccines, gross neglect of data evidencing earlier similar man-made plagues including SARS, West Nile Virus, AIDS and more; continuance of genetic studies breeding more mutant flu viruses likely to outbreak, inside trading scandals involving pandemic savvy White House and drug industry officials, curious immunity of these pharmaceutical entities over the past century to law enforcement and mainstream media scrutiny, and published official depopulation objectives. With the revelations and assertions advanced herein, the public is forewarned against this physician assisted mass murder best termed "iatrogenocide."* This genocidal imposition is expected to serve mainly economic and political depopulation objectives. ~ Dr. Len Horowitz Debunks Avian Flu Hysteria Campaign

A magacian working his magic before an audience can accurately predict the outcome of his performance. Consider that as you read the following, and laugh at the cartoon bubbles just over the shoulder of the speaker as he addresses the World Health Organization warning of the likelihood of a human flu pandemic.
In a trip to southeast Asian nations, WHO Director-General Dr. Jong Woo Lee, made such a warning, urging the world to prepare itself for the outbreak.
"The burning question is, you know, will there be a human influenza pandemic. I believe, on behalf of WHO, I can tell you that there will be. And right now the only one condition missing is the virus that is rapidly transmitted from human to human," said Dr. Lee. WHO warns of future human flu pandemic
If after an 8 year history during which no pandemic occured, it can not possible be known that one will occur except by someone who posseses the means to make it happen.

BEIJING, Aug. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed a bird flu outbreak occurred at the beginning of August on a chicken farm in the suburbs of Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, but said it has now been brought undercontrol.
"So far, the bird flu outbreak has been under control, and no other similar cases has been reported in other parts of the autonomous region," said a high-ranking official with the ministry.
In the wake of the case, the official said, the local government instituted rigid measures to stem the spread of the epidemic.
The local government has culled 2,608 chickens, disinfected and closed the farm, which belongs to the Regional Institute of Animal Husbandry Science.
Lhasa also spotted a bird flu case in 2004.
The official said the outbreak this year started on August 1. Atotal of 133 breeding chickens were infected and died. The State Bird Flu Reference Laboratory later confirmed that these chickens were infected with the H5N1 bird flu virus. ~ Bird Flu brought under control in Tibet
Has anyone noticed that over the past 50 years, each year had it's flu strain, and the last vaccine would not work? Do you remember there ever being any particular problem producing the new vaccine? Now comes this H5N1 strain which keeps breaking out over a period of several years, and a vaccine has proven to be extremely ellusive. From the looks of it, the only thing that is mutating is the propaganda line, and the resulting fear factor.
Sometimes, the story doesn't quite seem to match the headline.

'Bird Flu', SARS - Biowarfare or a Pandemic of Propaganda?
It might be good to remind ourselves that H5N1 is very same bird virus that was being "researched", meaning it was being actively changed and cultured, when Liu Jianlun, a laboratory scientist in China's Guangdong province became the first SARS victim two years ago - on 4 March 2003. Another death of a scientist was later linked to a laboratory in Singapore. The laboratory was culturing the same virus.
The SARS "pandemic" eventually faded away, but not without leaving a deep impression. A high pitched media campaign had convinced the world it was facing a great threat when in reality SARS turned out to be a comparably minor disease with 8.500 infected world wide and around 812 deaths. Compare that to CDC figures of 36.000 flu related deaths yearly in the U.S. alone. Or compare it with the mayhem of more than 100.000 U.S. deaths from the damaging effects of pharmaceutical drugs in the same time span.
WHO worried by China's use of flu drug on birds
BEIJING (Reuters) - The World Health Organisation gave tacit confirmation on Tuesday that Chinese farmers had used anti-viral drugs on poultry to curb the spread of bird flu, a practice China denied giving its backing.
"We are not completely sure about how widespread (amantadine use in China) is, but it has not been a complete surprise to us that it has been used," WHO representative Henk Bekedam told Reuters.
"We know in general these resistances are gradually building up," Bekedam said.
H5N1 first surfaced in poultry in Hong Kong and China eight years ago and his killed at least 37 people in Vietnam, 12 in Thailand and four in Cambodia.
Vietnam reported on Monday that two more people had contracted bird flu in the country's north.
China successfully curbed an avian flu outbreak in Qinghai last year, culling thousands of birds.
No infections of domesticated birds or humans have been reported in the recent outbreak.
"These experts will be further studying issues first raised at a WHO meeting in Manila in May 2005, including the possibility of more widespread H5N1 human transmission, changes in the H5N1 virus, and the likelihood of increased human-to-human transmission," the WHO said in a press release.International bird flu experts in Vietnam to check human transmission risk
