The problem with this assessment, is that many whites are using this quote by Chris Rock to justify their ingrained racism against Black people....but they'll just say "I don't hate Black people I hate n*gg*rs" to feel good about it...because after all Chris Rock said he hates "n*gg*rs" too.
In my opinion Chris Rock was an idiot for putting that out there like that because it provides shelter for white racists.
I think its safe to say that most of us as Black people are tired of the ignorant behavior exhibited by some members of our community. But we make ourselves look like fools when we think that we can separate ourselves from that segment of our community by drawing some imaginary line between "n*gg*rs and Black people".
Most whites will never acknowledge that line, they can't tell the difference........just ask the parents of Sean Bell. Yeah, I know...he was shot by Black cops also, but the thing is those Black cops where like you...they hated "n*gg*rs" too! We need to be careful with this type of unrighteous mindset.

First off when Black people say ****** we usually are referring to other black people. When whites say it they are referring to black people. It seems to me me when everybody says it they are refering to black people.
But my main problem with the pudding peddler is not that he says these things (shit I think this shit when ever a dumbass starts talking) its when he says the shit publically, THEN DOESN"T DO SHIT TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. WTF??? How old are you, 15? Cosby is the most significant black entertainer of the last 50 years.
He changed the world of stand-up, dramatic TV (first black lead in a drama series and first Emmy), sitcom TV and publishing. Early '70s all-black movies were of some importance too.

My assessment on this idea of ******s vs black people is that by making the judgment you in fact group yourself within that particular group that you denounce.
It is because of racism that African-Americans would find the need to differentiate themselves from a less desirable segment of the population. It still balls down to seeking white approval and nothing more. It saying, "here look at me... I am not like them."
When I was younger, I had that idea of ******s vs. Black but as I matured (the idea in itself is pretty infantile, I realized that there isn't an ideal way of behaving. There will always be segments of any particular group who will remain on the outside. That is human nature. You can not name one particular who doesn't have members of tat group who aren't on the fringes of what is to be considered appropriate behavior.
Also, this is an argument about has the power to determine which subjects get attention. those with the means can easily go out and attack those who are voiceless. That is the most simple thing to do. It is like beating up a child.
Not everyone in a particular group will achieve. The desire to have everyone equal is a superficial desire at most since people are rarely ever willing to give up what they have in order to make a more egalitarian society. There must be someone who is on the bottom in order to maintain the society that we have.
Instead of attacking white racism, we have the oppressed seeking approval of the oppressor by attacking members of the oppressed group for not living up to the standards of the oppressor, thereby hindering their ability to be seen in the right light as a human being. They cast a standard that all black people must have which no other group on this planet has in order to be considered a human. Do you ever hear of white people attacking other whites because they don't achieve?

Education? How can a woman with multiple Children, REALLY educate her children in their time of need. Does she have the time? Does she have the funds for extra tutoring that might be needed?
Emotional Support? She had her kid, when she was 14 with a thug who isn't around who's going to teach her boys how to be a man (A man works for what he wants in life). How are her girls going to understand a man stands with his family (She will choose the worst kind of men later, because Daddy wasn't there).

Exactly. I've yet to be offended by anything Cos has said. I work, my wife works. I own my home. I have never excepted a hand out in my life. I've never been to jail (outside of a ticket when i was in college) for dope and drugs. I teach my lil' girl manners and correct her grammar.
