There are plenty of men who are single fathers and they aren't trying to claim to be mothers too...
I have always thought that mother and the father was just more in that plan that told women they don't need men..Even had rich white celebrities making a big deal on how they chose to be a single mother.
Although many single parents do a great job with what they have to work with I have always thought girls without a man in their life during their formative years are not getting the lessons on what types of man she will accept as her mate..And many end up choosing assholes because they never had the example.
