Blame it on holiday boredom, but Twitter is skewing Big Boi on the Bar-B today over a meme that he posted criticizing the quality of motherhood these days.

As half of the legendary rap duo Outkast, Big Boi has never shied away from sharing his views on scandalous and shady women. From 1996’s “Jazzy Belle” to UGK’s 2007 hit “International Players Anthem” Big has let it be known that there are certain ones that men should watch out for.

But in 2016 it’s not his lyrics that are causing an uproar, it’s his Instagram posts.

Early Sunday morning Big Boi posted this meme.

The post features the “Florida Evans” character from popular 1970’s sitcom Good Times on the left, and a random woman in a peculiar pose in front of her child on the right. While Big is not the first to post this meme, he is perhaps the most high-profile Instagram user to. So naturally, when he posts it, more eyes see it. And with that comes plenty of opinions. So many that he has become a trending topic on Twitter.

Eh, that's twitter for you. Had that been a famous female actress who posted a similar meme about men there would have been a deep ass talk about why that is and how "brothers gotta step up" xyz...

Not even a month ago they were arguing about how a man's weight preference is discriminatory and oppressive, but a woman's height preference is not and the two should not be compared :dunno:

I mean......... Some women do hoe shit in front of their kids... Thats some of the activity that makes them hoes. If youre not a hoe, engaging in hoe shit whats the beef??? No one is saying the act in itself is wrong, just in front of your fucking kids. No, not ALL women do this......... Just the hoes. Hoes get no respect, for reasons such as this.

Memes are a lazy way for inarticulate people to express their views.

And anyone could easily post the male equivalent of this BS.

I agree, but it's all fun and games until you offend chicks. How many of the opposite meme do we see on a daily basis??? How many likes do they get??? Are they to be taken seriously??? Not really... Until the rabbit gets the gun, then it's the fake outrage, cause I've seen a few chicks post this same meme and shit was Kool and the gang. But not a famous dude though. He's misogynistic, even though in theory he's only talking about those that do this...

You know if you look at his Facebook page he has been posting some interesting stuff lately anyways I don't agree with that comparison I see his point but I don't agree with the comparison

I agree. But it's not just women. People in general just love social media and selfies. They need the attention. And they focus on that, more than their kids. Or they focus on things that don't concern them. Back in the days parents focused on their kids, now they focus on what other people are doing. They waste time creating memes and replying on shit that has nothing to do with them. If the meme doesn't apply, ignore it. The ones getting upset are probably the ig hoes.

I'm laughing cause dudes in here don't think women in the 70's didn't act like hoes at times.

Fucking millennials.
Not as many bro, all you have to do is look at the statistics to know there is a whole lot of truth to that meme...

Actually the stats say that baby boomers and Generation X have more sexual partners than millennials.

Also...you may want to look at teen pregnancy stats of the 70's vs now.

Man, it's like anything else. If this isn't talking about you then ignore it, but if it is then address it. Stereotypes don't fit all like a one-size-fit-all Jersey. When I see a picture of black guys in the 90s and how they dressed, and black guys today dressing in skinny jeans - that shit ain't me so ignore the hell out of it but there are a lot of black guys that that picture does fit

If you're not a hoe then ignore this shit. If you are a good mother and aren't all in the streets then ignore this shit. But if you are... then you stop being a hoe and take care of your business. Hoes always offended by everything

Why you equating having sex with having kid, big difference... As far as single parent childbirths, in 1970 70% of black children born was married, now its 30%....

Here's the thing: His words and action conflict with each other. Big Boi has had strippers in his videos and he had/has a stripper pole in his basement.

Is Big Boi a mom though? Big Boi has a great point, which should be discussed. Black woman stay losing recipes, but they quick to wanna celebrate on Father's day. Black culture period been losing recipes, but hey what floats your boat or finds your lost remote. Actually memes are not lazy, as they actually include many perceptual modes.

Its funny I can post at least 6 negative memes on my timeline from chicks about us but they get pissed you know what fuck it im going to post this right now

i personally dont see the problem in what he said

its pretty fuckin stupid and shallow, to imply there were no bad mothers in the good times era, and to further imply there are no good mothers today is just fuckin dumb..

its just with social media and all the attention hoes out there its much easier to point out... now and days...

dont get me wrong I also see the double standard in what chicks are finding offensive but it doesnt negate the fact that his tweet or whatever was based on unadultrated ignorance..

Hoes always offended by everything

This. No one is telling them to do what they do. They know it aint socially accepted, then wanna act brand new when they're called on their hoe shit. That ain't they way the game is played. If you do anything in life, be proud and own it.

Why is it that black women identify and protect black women who are no good mothers, while if they were to create a meme saying black men need to stop being dead beat fathers, good black fathers automatically know that meme isn't about then nor would we feel the need to protect and defend bad black fathers..
This behavior always baffles me....
