Juvenex is a spa located at 25W. 32nd Street in the Koreatown section of Manhattan. It's a 24 hour spa that mainly caters to women, but goes coed (mainly couples) after 5:00 PM.

A female friend takes you to see the Broadway play, "MJ" and to a late dinner at "Junior's" in the Time Square area. Although, it's after midnight you suggest that you go to "Juvenex," and relax at the spa.

She's amazed that a spa is open at that hour, but she's with it. The problems begin when she believes that Velvet (your masseuse) is flirty with you which prompts an argument.

You always heard people in the area talk about Korean barbecue but you've never tried it. Nevertheless, there is this new restaurant named "Mokja" that opened up a few months ago and you figure you'll give it a try.

So when you walk in you are greeted by "Nikata," who's very pleasant but warns you that they will be closing soon at 9:30 PM. In addition, she tells you that it's very hot in there since the air conditioner is malfunctioning.

Since, it's your first time you order some Korean barbecue and ask Nikata is there something that she would recommend (keep on mind the store is empty and there is only 1 cook in the back).

Nikata pauses for a few seconds and then...

About 7 years ago they constructed a luxury high rise apartment building directly across the street from your building. For a few several apartment remained vacant (you can see directly into the building), but you noticed about a month ago someone moved into an apartment on the 4th floor.

For time to time you just enjoy looking out the window and people watching, but you notice some unusual activities at the apartment building across from you.

It appears a young lady is struggling to put up a window shade. Normally, this wouldn't be strange, but she is has nothing on. 10 minutes later she's finished, but then she just sits in the window and looks out.

Your friend Andre always had some wild stories about his impromptu encounters with various women. From time to time he would go to this Thai restaurant (Sala Thai) on the Upper East side in Manhattan. He would flirt with Jennie, the cashier, each time and you he swore she wanted to sleep with him (According to the "Book of Andre" almost every woman in the city does).

Last Saturday evening he took a date with him to "Sala Thai," and dined in. The date went well, and he planned on taking her back to his place to complete a good night. However, he noticed that Jennie had a real "funky attitude," and was acting weird?

Andre and his date left a little before "Sala Thai" closed, and they went back to his place.

Nevertheless, Andre couldn't understand why Jennie was treating him this way and that weighed on his mind. He also realized that he would probably need some breakfast foods since his date was spending the night so he made a quick run to the store.

Because the restaurant is in a highly policed area, Jennie would sometimes count up the receipts and check the books after closing. When she was finished either her father or brother would come back to the restaurant, lock up, and drive her home.

After picking up a few items from the store Andre decided to walk pass the restaurant and he could see Jennie was still inside. He waved at her and she looked away, then he waved again and she gave him the "middle finger."

After awhile Jennie came to the door, and told him that although she shouldn't be, she got jealous seeing him with another woman.

Over the years your friend Darin's kinda let himself go and goes about 6'2, 320 lbs. He carries it will, but the extra weight is messing with his stamina and the wife is dropping subtle hints about his performance.

Your cousin, Marvin from Miami visiting the city this week and wanted to go out to eat. So you figured you would take him to "Sala Thai" to get some takeout at halftime.

To Marvin's credit, he struck up a conversation with Faii and Yanisa. Marvin is also very crafty aka he's a convincing liar and told the girls that he wanted to watch the US Open, but was unable to because ESPN had pulled the channel (this statement was actually true).

You were shocked that the ladies like Tennis and invited you and Marvin back to their place (only a few blocks from the restaurant).

You became acquainted with Linda from her working at the counter in the "Chicken Insider" (a Korean restaurant on the Upper East side).

You would drop by at least twice a month on a Friday or Saturday and see Linda working hard. It got to the point were you would joke with each other about how your biweekly rendezvous was like a date (since you would talk to her as you waited for them to prepare you order).




One day Linda asked you who cooks for you? You told her basically no one and she offered to prepare something for you (as in a home cooked meal).



That first meal must have been something else, because nowadays you pretty much eat whatever Linda puts in front of you.
