To each their own.

I make weapons as a hobby so it's one of the few places where I can walk outside with real stuff to show others stuff and share ideas on comics and metal/leather crafts.

I never go there for the celebs - Mostly go for the deals on TPBs and to meet other fans, take pics and the after parties.
