This miniseries depicts Jennifer Fellows, mild mannered housewife by day, efficient assassin by night. She is no regular hired assassin, however, as she's picking her own targets for no profit, and is apparently revenging herself upon her criminal gang of uncles. The ultra-violent series is a mix of action and dark humor, and, as writer Garth Ennis admits in his first issue letter to the readers, is his overdue return to this style of writing that he's known for and had longed to write for some time after the last few years of his creative output had taken a

HBO...NEEDS this one would make a GREAT summer series fun controversial and could touch on a ton of issues and move leftovers to the fall.

* I predicted this sh*t exactly...

From 2007 to 2012, one of the most critically acclaimed series in the comics industry was Scalped, a thrilling neo-noir about intrigue and organized crime within a Native American community. It ended after 60 issues, but like so many comics stories, it's getting a second shot at life on the screen.

WGN America has reportedly ordered a pilot for a TV adaptation of Scalped, and the creators appear to be leaning toward having a cast comprised entirely of Native Americans. The series — written by Jason Aaron, drawn by R.M. Guéra, and published by DC Entertainment's Vertigo imprint — got a fair bit of criticism for its depiction of decay and depravity in the world of a reservation, but it also regularly topped best-of lists and made a star out of Aaron, who is now one of the hottest scribes in the business.

The pilot will be penned by Banshee's Doug Jung. This isn't the only genre-fiction pilot WGN has asked for — they've also commissioned one for Roadside Picnic, an adaptation of a beloved Soviet-era Russian sci-fi novel about life on Earth after a brief alien visitation.

I'll give it a read, just because it's unique in having a story centering around Native Americans.

Ever read CHEW? I could see it being a TV show.

The Concept:

Tony Chu is a cop with a secret. A weird secret. Tony Chu is Cibopathic, which means he gets psychic impressions from whatever he eats. It also means he's a hell of a detective, as long as he doesn't mind nibbling on the corpse of a murder victim to figure out whodunit, and why. It`s a dirty job, and Tony has to eat terrible things in the name of justice. And if that wasn`t bad enough, the government has figured out Tony Chu`s secret. They have plans for him… whether he likes it or not.
Presenting a twisted new series about cops, crooks, cooks, cannibals and clairvoyants, written by JOHN LAYMAN (Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness, House of M: Fantastic Four and PUFFED) with mind-blowing art by ROB GUILLORY.

I love CHEW,are you caught up? Been a crazy ride, hate to see it end. Layman mentored animation being drawn for one of the cable networks (hbo or showtime) but i think they passed. Then it was hoped Cartoon network would revive it.

Also you'll love Scalped, trust!

I agree with everything you stayed, Playa Hatian! TWD tv show is whack as fuck compared to the comic, folk missing out!

Scalped was dope as fuck! I dont want anyone fucking it up. Sometimes watching Banshee on Cinemax seems the closest will get to Scalped, lol

Not looking forward to Rogen's take on Preacher. It's my favorite series (followed by Spawn and Warren Ellis's Planetary ) but what I've seen looks horrid. I wanted a real network...we'll see.

Paper Girls, Satellite Sam, The Wicked and the Devine, SAGA, They're Just Nit One of Us, Injection, and my fave book out right now The Manhattan Projects would all be great series!

^ Yea Paper Girls would be good..knowing Hollywood itll wind up on Disney Channel

The CW already making a series based off the rebooted Archie comic, its going to be called Riverdale

this would make for a great SHO or HBO miniseries...maybe 4-6 eps
