The Server is running slow because we have a large influx of people coming to view the https://www.bgol.us/forum/threads/you-like-tits-i-love-tits-girls-show-us-your-tits-gifs.832056/

My ISP told me yesterday that the server should be able to handle the load. What I'm doing now is waiting for the server to get to it slowest point, then call him so he can see exactly what the problem is.

So hang in there, we will fix it one way or another today.

I thought it was my ISP.

AT&T had my internet slow as fuck so.e months back and it took them forever to fix it.

I thought it was Deja vu all over again.

It sounds like the ISP should give you at least a partial refund for the time it's been slow.

It doesn't work like that on high traffic websites, the problem just might be you need to upgrade your server, it may be your script. There are so many variables.

My ISP is my right hand man, I know he is going to do everything in his power to solve my problems, we have been together for over 10 years. I don't want to fuck it up asking for refunds.

One thread shouldn't be able to put this much strain on the server. The one thread exposed a problem with the server. We have a database problem that needs to be solved. My support person is running an optimization on the database right now. He said it will take a few hours. Hopefully it will work better when the optimization is complete.

I suspect I will have to get one of the xenforo egg heads to optimize my server/software setup.

I'm going to give it a few days before I throw in the towel, because if by some strange act of god we get an increase in traffic again, the problem will still be here, so we might as well solve it now.

I think he's saying to flex on dude a little bit. However, I understand in your line and work and internet traffic keeping it cool with your service provider is the smart move. The board has been moving real fast since about 3:3o am and it's still moving fast. I don't know what you did but it's working. :thumbsup:

I've noticed a difference today when I hit the back arrow. It was pausing so much I had to refresh the page before it changed. It's sorta back to normal today. Thanks for staying on top of this issue, HNIC!

Forgot to mention ... was on the forum index ( https://www.bgol.us/forum/ ) when the board was acting up and glanced at the right sidebar to where it says Members Online Now. Knew something had to be up ... it had around 200+ members, and 700+ guests at that time ...

Whereas by comparison right now the stats are:



Total: 599 (members: 363, guests: 209, robots: 27)
