Along with that, you need to have plastic or rubber taps under the toe and heels. If you don't, your heel will wear unevenly and your shoes will look jacked. Then, it's either get new heels or new shoes.
Any shoe repair can put taps on for about $5 or you can order a couple dozen taps from Amazon and put em on yourself.
The most basic thing, tho, is you gotta polish ya kicks....often.
Speaking of expensive shoes...I used to joke with people...if yo shoes didn't come in a cloth bag, they prolly cheap.
