BGOL review .. BATMAN V SUPERMAN... (thoughts, summary, spoilers)

At least this scene... does kind of explain why he was bat shit crazy and why he screaming of things coming.

See the importance of 1 fucking scene. 1 Scene erased 5 fucking questions.

Ok soooooo this has to be after he released doomsday on the world and superman's death, right?

Ok soooooo this has to be after he released doomsday on the world but after superman's death, right?

I would guess so, but these dudes look like Military, not police, and from what I remember Lex was in a regular Jail cell. Maybe it could have been Arkham??

I definitely think this is after he released Doomsday and it would have had to be after Superman's Death, because why would they go inside the ship while the Big fight was going on.

Also it didn't seem like the Alien appeared from a Boom tube. He just evaporated. So was he working with Lex behind the scenes the entire time? If so, then that would fucking explain every God Damn thing about this movie... including Lex's motivation to have Superman and Batman fight.

I actually like Superman returns. I mean it is 10 times better then Superman Quest for Peace... where Clark seemed to have the flu for 40 minutes.
:lol::lol::lol::lol:
If you put it that way fonzerrillii, then yes Superman Returns was better than Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, the absolute bottom of the barrel of Superman films!

When Nuclear Man was flying in space with Lacy that was the last straw:roflmao3:

Yeah i put this a few days after superman's death.

I give it that time-line because as you said i don't see them going in while Justice League out there fighting and you don't really see what happens to Lex after Doomsday kinda pushes him aside to go at Superman.

In all honesty this should have been the last time we see Lex in the movie, then the part of him getting his hair cut off, talking strangely, and referencing Darkseid (that bell's already been rung....PING PING PING) should have been after credits.

Quest was absolute trash - but Returns was a well made movie that unfortunatly had no action and portrayed Superman as a dead beat dad able to lift and throw an island of kryptonite into space o_O

Plotholes galor...Super Lois, too much given away in commercials...shakey cam (which I hate)...

But shyt, I liked it. Wanted to see more of Flash, Aquaman but they setting them up for the future.

I'm surprised they opened this on Easter weekend. It's not a movie weekend, it's a "family/travel" weekend. Maybe they think that this week being spring break will pull in numbers I don't know.
they got shooked when marvel didn't budge from the may 6 date foe civil war. warner bros thought disney would step in and move civil war from may 6th. disney said we're riding with marvel, play chicken with a mac truck.

I'm dead serious that they are making it up as they go... Why would you release a deleted scene from the Movie to get people to pre-order the R-Rated version when you just released the movie last weekend.

And what in all of the fucks is going in here. Are those motherboxes in dudes hand.
Is Lex still in the ship? I know Supes just died, but did they just leave Lex in the same ship where he just freaking created the monster that took all your shit to destroy.

More Questions here...

their models needed the movie to do +170 million and less than 20% fall off in the openning weekend
the current model with a 38% drop and greater over the opening weekend means they aren't going to make the boxoffice - the cctv, ppv, cable and broadcast are already locked in so they need strong retail sales to make up the under performing boxoffice

I don't even know, why Warner Brothers would put Batman vs Superman on that date when Marvel had that May 6th date, two years before they did...I would of done the same thing, especially when DC is the one trying to play catch up to you.

This thread shows the BGOL collective is smarter than Snyder/DC:yes:

A lot of ideas and thoughts in here make a whole hell of a lot more sense than what I saw on the big screen:lol:

what really shook them was the 1st weekend numbers and the critics' review of the flick.

But still better then Quest... HAHAHA

This just tells you how bad Quest was...

I think they thought this movie was gonna do better than star wars and the first avengers movie. Now they see that it isn't. They really need to get rid of Snyder he's gonna fuck everything up, he really is making shit up on they fly.

On the real... I think if you combine all of our individual ideas from our rants.. You would have a top flight movie and a solid foundation for further sequels.

It would have been a win/win for Marvel no matter what. If they had relinquished the May date to BvS and taken the earlier date, Marvel would just be popping bottles earlier with the success of Civil War. The later date wouldn't have made BvS any better.

Marvel Studios knows it's the "best thing smoking" right now, so they took that heads up challenge on the date with DC. DC knew they were going to fold first. Just imagine if they both stuck to their guns and they did come out the same weekend! Letting the public decide which of the two would get their money, not that could have been a huge eye opener for both studios

They are hyping the opening Day numbers..... but that Sunday drop-off is the killer. Those are the people that want to watch a movie, but didn't want to deal with the fanatics.

All the fans have seen the thing...

Batman v Superman would have gotten second place... Word of mouth would have killed any chance of it making its money back the second weekend and the DCU would be rebooted.

First Avengers maybe. Better than Star Wars opening weekend? I hope no one thought that crazy shit at DC:lol:

I agree, Snyder's tenure has come to an end

I was commenting what you said about Warner Bros changing the release date. When DC first announced the released date,it was suppose to be May 6th and like you said Marvel didn't budge, because they claimed that date, two years prior to DC announcing that date.

What made Warner Bros original put Batman vs Superman on May 6th..I have no clue, but they wasn't going to win that fight, especially when they're the ones who is trying to catch up to Marvel.

Even,if they kept Batman vs Superman on May 6th,I will guaranteed you that folks would be more reluctant to see it due to the reviews and go watch Civil War,especially when Marvel can put Spiderman in their MCU.

Batman vs Superman would of still made money though.

Another thought... Hopefully my final one for the night on this.. (But probably not)

Why are they hyping the extended version of the movie, the same weekend that the movie just came out?

So I'm sitting at home thinking about what to watch at the theater. I would like to check out this batman v superman movie but it's getting killed with critics, everyone says that it had massive plot holes, and I don't want to waste 18 dollars to see this....

Then you find out that July 16 they are dropping an extended version of this movie and there is a chance that it might be better....

So what do you do... You wait only 4 more months and get the extended blue ray after the reviews.

On the real... If I knew the extended blue ray was dropping in July thats what I would have done and saved my money on this version.

This was my big fear when Warner Bros announced Justice League,it seems to me that they don't know what the fuck they're doing. They're so busy trying to catch Marvel they're rushing everything.

There is no excuse to fuck up this movie at all and yet Warner Bros did.

I don't even read superhero comics like that and I can tell Warner Bros fucked it up. :smh:

when they rushed to announce JL as soon as MoS had a strong open and traction
vs
Marvel had 2 Iron Man movies and 1 on the way, Thor Captain America and Hulk in the bag before they announced Avengers and a slate
Disaster was in air - then Zack started to refuse to acknowledge fan issues with MoS - calling them out as less educated on Superman than he etc...

Every article about this scene, which should have made it into the movie says that the character Lex is in front of is Steppenwolf in his form from New 52. They also say those are motherboxes.

this guy gets it start at 5.33

How would this have made the movie better?
Scene sucked.

Scene sucked.
it would only begin to explain certain things:
how Lex knew Batman's identity
why he was on a mission to get rid of Superman
possibility of a plan on how to eliminate Zod after Superman was dead

Apokalips being involved is not the complete explanation but it opens doors to possibilities of how these plot holes were accomplished
