BGOL Ongoing Formula One Thread: 2025 Season

Hopefully this means Mercedes has a competitive car now. And don't expect any support from Perez, I think he's done with being Max fall guy.
They don’t. The front wing upgrade gives better control in slow/medium speed corners which is what this track is almost entirely.. Plus this is Lewis‘s best track as evidence that he broke the F1 record for most poles at a single track today. Max still had the faster car overall this weekend. Lewis just wrung it out of the car today.

Perez couldn’t be Max’s fall guy even if he wanted to. He’s sucked for most of this season in one of the most dominant cars F1 has ever seen.

Max is not a technical driver but Mercedes has never been this close in sector times to Red Bull, this more than it having the new wing that Merc and Hamilton driving skills gave the advantage on curves, Lewis beat Verstappen only by .003. Naw I have to disagree some other improvements came into play with Mercedes. As for Perez he's not trying he don't care has no ambition to win making a ton of mental mistakes, that goes hand in hand in not wanting to be second fiddle any longer.

But it‘s the same wing they had at Silverstone and it didn’t work for Mercedes there. They expected it to work there, but after the race analysis James Allison their technical director admitted it was an addition to the package to help the slow speed corners mostly. Also Redbull made a major upgrade this weekend that didn’t go as planned so I think those two things made it a perfect storm for Mercedes to be closer today. Redbull‘s race pace is still better so I’d give Lewis 50/50 of staying ahead. My prediction is he beats Max of the line, but once DRS is enabled it will be a few laps before he overtakes on the straight. That’s been Redbull‘s biggest strength this year. Their DRS is very efficient. I hope I’m wrong, but we‘ve had a whole half a season of the RB19 dominating. Even with Perez missing Q3 for six races in a row until today he’s still somehow 2nd in th championship.

Verstappen you whiny bitch
He dont like to be talked to in the corners, man!!!
