Bgol Mothers: Did you drag your hubby/bf to Lamaze classes?

the title my be misleading but it got your attention!! Anyway, I'm asking this because I'm in there with my wife now and I'm not seeing any brothers in there at all. Single black mothers and white couples! It's this one white dude you'd think was having the baby himself! You know the type, he just talks about how he wish he could carry the baby instead of her so she wouldn't have to go through any pain and all kinds of bs. Anyway, clearly I'm like the spokesperson for black men or at least they question me to that point!! My question is, do niggaz just not care about the course or do they just not care at all!! I understand some situations where he just can't make it. I can only speak for myself, I'm very excited about my first child (daughter named Denise, 4 more weeks) and think this is one of those times a pregnant wife needs support (btw I get QT points and less nagging when I'm at the crib recording music )! Should a man have to go?

word! Peep this shit... Our class has agreed to bring food weekly, therefore last week was our turn! I broke out the fruit tray on their ass, apples, cheese, grapes, etc.. I also brought plates forks and napkins. I put one fork in the tray for everyone to use after I finished and this white dude dropped a grape trying to put it on plate and had the nerve to say, "Hick man, we're all friends" and started grabbin' shit out of the tray with his bare hands for him and his wife! I didn't want to create a "when keeping it real goes wrong moment" so I chilled and especially knowing he is a pastor! So them cacs would've loved to see me wild out! Luckly I fixed our food first! But this dude does something wild every class, every week!

I'm not sure but I don't think that perhaps it's because you not seeing a lot of Black fathers, but I'm not sure I know too many Black people in general that went to Lamaze classes. I know my moms went when she was preggers with me but after her- . That was the early 80's.

I tried to post to this 3xs from my phone

My oldest son (now 16) his dad went w/ me to every prenatal appointment and class imaginable. Unfortunately he was murdered before we could start Lamaze.
W/ the other 2 we (me and their dad)watched alot of birth shows on tv but he went to every prenatal appointment.

I cant see myself going to Lamaze now.....I wouldnt drag my bf/hubby anywhere. I am a firm believer in not making a man do something he doesnt want too. Plus Lamaze....is overrated.

My hubby happily attended. Additionally, he was in the delivery for the births.
