I know some of ya'll about to put me on block, but I'm trying to be up out by next weekend. This thread is about to be jumpin' like a motherfucker. I need to get ALL of my last minute questions out, and they will all be asked within this thread.

First off -- can Los Angeles compete with New York City in the 'shit to do' department?

Sort of had my decision made "for me". A foreign business associate wants to import his product and have it warehoused in Houston. He wants me to sell that product and oversee the incoming and outgoing of his product.

So, there it is, Rossini. Houston.

...you're right. If you get an offer from the Middle East that seems TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, turn it down. More than likely they want to reexport from Iran, because they cannot do it directly.

That's what I should have said.

Good thing is I didn't lose any money in the process - just my time. Another thing is, now I don't have to move to Houston.

Well, they were going to have a warehouse in Houston to store goods shipped from overseas. They wanted me to manage the goods - incoming and outgoing.

The issue is, they were in Dubai re-exporting a product from Iran. I cannot do business with Iran directly, or indirectly. Hell, none of us can. Well, unless it's stuff not on the restricted list(e.g. food stuff) and you have to get a license for THAT. Red tape.

Now you have companies like Halliburton who have offices in Iran, but they have high-powered attorneys at their disposal, not to mention that all too important political clout. I am not Halliburton-level, to say the least.

Now I have to figure out where I'm going to move again.

I'll probably just rent a place in LA for a few years. I went to see what all the hype about LA is. Can't probably judge a city simply by visiting.

Admittedly, I don't know any Mexicans personally. I'm not talking about regular, every-day Mexicans, either. For instance, where I'm from, the Mexicans tend to hide their women in the house. Well, this Black dude ended up getting with this Mexican woman, and that shit pissed those Mexicans off to the point that they started raping Black women. It was truly a war going on between Black men and Mexican men for about two years.
