BGOL gun owners & new gun buyers, pay close attention to the gun control the govt is trying to push

Well, the "real" problem is that gun laws are so lax in some states that it makes it possible for anyone to just walk in and have one in seconds without any type of real checks. The shit that happened with the dude shooting up all those massage places here, he walked right into a store and bought the gun easy peezy before he killed 8 people. Most of the dirty guns that criminals get were still sold legally at some point.
And how did the criminals end up with those guns? That's the issue that needs to be addressed. The initial buyer isn't typically the person involved directly in the crimes themselves. Criminals are gonna acquire their weapons one way or the other. That's what needs to be focused on

I am looking to buy a shotgun either a remington or a mossberg. I am a lefty so the mossberg which has ambidexterous sights sounds better, but all the training and real action I have had was with a remington. Any suggestions?

What..! Now that's some bullshit.

Yeah and it's even worst in MD. Atleast if you get a license in DC, it will carry over in several other states, but you have to be a resident of MD to get a license and if you traveling through the state and get pull over you better have everything from bullets to the gun in a concealed case or the police officer can lock your ass up...

Yeah from what my instructor told me, the gun violence was so bad in the 80s and 90s that no one could have a gun, but as most know DC is becoming gentrified and the white folks that live here fought to reinstitute a concealed license for gun owners....

Let me make sure I understand what you are saying. Are you saying that actual firearm or just the firearm ID has to be picked up at the police station?

The actual firearm. DC doesn't have any gun stores in the city. If you were to purchase a fire arm in person or online and show your ID, they will gladly tell you we will be shipping your firearm to DC police downtown and they will let you know when you can pick it up.

Ok....got it. That makes sense. So people are not allowed to have a FFl license or be a FFL broker?

You should still be able to apply the training you had to the Mossberg. You'd just have to get used to the differences in the shotgun configuration such as safety switch location and bolt release. The learning curve would increase if you start moving to platforms like AR12 or bullpup style shotguns as opposed to standard pump and semi-auto shottys

Thanks for the info. I will get a mossberg then.

I find this story a lil on the propaganda side, have you ever heard of 'unregistered ammunition'?!?

Absolute bs. Hell for all we know the rifle might not even be an AR15. It just seems to be the only rifle type that they think of for rifles that don't have old school stocks
