BGOL AUDIO HEADS: Hookup car sub to T.V.?

My nicca, you gone drown them weak ass tv speakers out:roflmao2:
I'm not an audiophile, I just want some sounds in the shop.. I don't have more than $100 to spend on this.... I really don't have that.

That's why I said "nigga-rig"

Add an eq (equalizer) with a 30hz or below adjustment and cross out all the highs so your sending a deeper bass signal to your receiver/amp. Doing this is less strain on your amp. Also make sure your impedance matches between your amp/receiver and your sub. 2 ohm with 2 ohm, 4 ohms with 4 ohms etc. OH and make sure your amp to sub wiring phasing is correct (+/-) .

wow, i used have to give blood to buy them shits dizzam

if you dont know what to do its best to have a friend to set it up for you. you'll end up blowing the sub before you get to use it. if you dont wanna spend more than 100 on it then it might be best to just leave it alone unless you really want that sub. just get 2 towers that got good woofers in it and call it a day.

This is the back of my Pioneer surround sound receiver i paid $40 from a garage sale!

as you can see it has no sub options cause the sub has a built in crossover! Read the caution⬆!6 to 8 ohms with crossover 8 to 16 ohms without!

you will need these on the sub amp if you buy an older receiver!

or these old school will work. Crutchfield is your nigga rigg
friend!

if your sub has speaker wire outputs most recievers will notic the sub plugged into the left and right channel speaker wire input. but you will need an amp to handle the different ohms difference.

um...

how are you going to hook up a receiver to a sub?

you need a amp to power the sub from the receiver and you need an amp that can handle a 4ohm load. most home receiver amps don't do 4 ohms very well.

get a house receiver and a car amp

Thanks formthis post im in the market for a new reciever. These prices are right too.

I was looking at the Onkyo TX 5.2 Ch 4k Ultra but im not sure if its worth the price.

How do you measure a good quality reciever?
I like Yamaha and onkyo. I read reviews to see what experts and regular people say.

I've never had to use a special amp for my subs. I've owned at least half a dozen subs.

Car subs?
No, I've only used the subs that came with my cars. I used to upgrade my car stereos but it became a hassle. Geesh, now I'm going way back in my memory. In college, I remember hooking up my receiver to a car sub.

house subs or car subs used in your home?

home audio subs are usually at an 8 ohm load

car audio subs are usually at a 4 ohm load

I generally Intergra receivers and what features i want. I personally like a lot of bells and whistles with solid guts internally.

See what forums like Avs forums say. Check home audio mags. Hit a home theater spot (a real store not bb) and ask around.
