You know... A receiver. One of these joints. I'm sure a pawn shop has some. If all you're gonna do it use it for a hood surround setup this is what you need. Run the red and white/yellow cord from the tv to the auxiliary input, and bam... Surround sound. Hook your speakers/subs and that's all you need. How you trying to rig some shit, and not know what a receiver is???

still. receiver is the best bet cause it hooks up to the sub perfectly and is compatible with the stuff you want to stream through.
its the timeless middleman.

Troof!!! Fuck all that new age shit. A Frankenstein build with some decent speakers is better than most of the shit they sell as a package. A good summer of yard sales will have you in business. Or fuck if you got old peeps you know they got a gang of those big ass 15s in an attic/garage/basement somewhere.

A car sub is going to be either 2 or 4 ohms. Your typical house stereo/receiver is 8 ohms.

If you have 2 4ohm subs you can run them in parallel to present an 8 ohm load. However it will require a lot of power.

I think I seen one @ the Goodwill yesterday.

All of em got the same connections in the back? Anything specific I need to look for as far as connections?

Naaa, they dont. But you need the connectors with either the gates that open that enable the wires to go into. Or the ones that screw open, and then close onto the speaker wire. Hit up Best buy and cop some speaker wire. Not expensive, thicker the better, but only up to a point for what you're gonna use it for. As for speakers they don't matter. If they have wires already you can still use them. Just cut off the connections and strip back the wire and you're good so long as you have a receiver with the gated, or screw connections in the back.

Use the receiver(best bet)
Or get some red and white A/v cords and cut them and plug the ends with the wires exposed in the speakers.. Plug the Other ends to the tv

I would use an old school receiver and hook it through that.
thats what i used to do. i actually still got my JVC receiver in storage. had my box wit two 12s in it behind the lazyboy in the corner.
that surround sound was nice as fuck from that shit. easy to hook up when the back looks like this.

He newer ones will let u use your phone to play songs etc. you may not want to hit up craigslist yard sale etc. how much would You really save?

Bruh..you don't know what a receiver is? It's the center of most entertainment centers....
Dray, here you go tryna son me again!

Entertainment center? I thought t.v.'s was in the middle of an entertainment center?

I remembet my mama had something that looked like one of those and it was a stack full of em, and the record player was on top, the double cassette deck was at the bottom

D you wild

I hope there's some other midranges/highs involved

Bruh. My dad used to say "every man needed a good receiver in his house".

You ain't telling me you been watching HD movies and shit through the TV speakers?

Naw son. You need a receiver with all the HDMI components running through for surround sound and then your subwoofer so you can get that theater effect.
