Hell fam corporal punishment was still going down in a lot of US schools in the 80's.
Kids was getting lit up in my kindergarten class! She had a paddle with holes in it to cut down on drag. Man the 80's were wild as fuck!

Just because things like this have been done for years doesn't make it right. I remember getting a paddling in like 6th grade but this looks brutal to me. Paddling were a set number, usually 3-4 hits on your butt, this piece of shit basically whipping these kids all on their backs, butt and legs
