Define "bougie" because that shit has many different connotations depending on who you ask. They need to be able to accurately and succinctly articulate the experience of racism as experienced in America. These types of people usually end up in pretty well off positions regardless of where they may have started out barring some mental/chemical deficiency. Pookie from the block is just not going to be capable of doing that though Marlo might. The rare thing that sets them apart and gives them those opportunities is going to land them in a position of privilege.
